Shove an H1 tag in and stop using crap website building tools - Use WordPress :) I just bought the dom name www.wavydavy.co.uk - it was top 10 for DJs Plymouth in two days - use WP and keep blogging about your gigs

Yes, a blog is an important tool. I have one as well and I blog about my events and other things when I have time. H1 tags are also important.

But more important than those to the search engines is content. Th reason why the blogs are getting attention from Google right now is that their content is changing on a regular basis. That can be done with any page, not just a Word Press blog.

I try to change the content of my pages on a regular basis. If you want SEO to work you need to keep the content fresh.

Oh, and I wouldn't call Attractica Crap. Once a week it crawls my site, updates the sitemap, and updates the site map with Google, Yahoo, and Bing. These three search engines notice the changing content based on the sitemap and reindex the site.

I'm sure PT Barnum is grinning as I type. I hardly ever change my content, I don't have any H1 tags, I don't blog, etc. etc. etc.. I'm still come up number one for what I consider the number one search term for my type of client's: 'Memphis Wedding DJs'.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Tom - You're not aiming at an American audience with your website. That's all i have to say. Go figure it out ;)

You say I'm not thinking like a 'Merican?

On the serious side, please expand on this.

Bollocks to that. You are doing something so wrong with your website. ;) It is hurting you and in a few months will hurt a lot....

Quick to take a pop at me for being nice and giving you a glimpse into the future with my Orkut comment = bollocks matey

I will get like 2.5 hours of sleep tonight, but I am finally switching one of my last sites over to a CMS... Muah ha ha ha haaaaa! Need to check into the orkut, thanks : )

yeah and I have heard it all before

I want to slow down but I get as busy now as I did 15 years ago

anyway have a nice day

Not true as of now. I have several and they all rank. It was called domain stacking a few years back

You think they're the best? Shhhh Go to a Web Dev conference and really know what to do

No offence but you seem rather arrogant about this. We are just looking for advice. I understand completely why you made the offer, some folks wouldnt have the foggiest how to set up something like that, but i wrote my own site, and read alot of diy seo tutorials , some of which were listed above, and my web site is already in the top 5 search results for school djs in my area, and ive only had the new site up for a month or so. It can be done. just because you have the tech know how doesnt mean you have to be in everyone's face about it.

Dont worry Griffin whatever works for you is the best SEO obviously. Many of the SEO folks out there are trying to sell thewir service as if it was never done before and leading edge stuff. In reality many performing on the seminar trail or advertising via Blog etc made their money quick in the industry and are really selling recycled info. I see it even in the DJ industry. Not really that many true pioneers or inventors so if your gaining success your way then its obviously priceless.
