Hey Rick, since the cue point feature in RockIt is able to be set in full seconds only, is there an easy-to-use program that will allow me to chop off the beginning portion of an mp3 that I want to bypass - i.e. "Shout" and Vogue".

That way there would be be no need for a cue point.

I use Sound Forge, but Audacity works well, and is a lot cheaper (free) :)

You can make some very creative mixes with either of them, and save to one large MP3 file. I like it better than on the fly mixing, because I can do it visually, and get some really cool transitions and effects.

Takes some time, but you come out with perfect mixes -- just hit play, and let it go for 20-25 minutes :)

That is my only fault with RockIt, and that is exactly what I do to work around it. I use Audacity. Like Rick said...it's free.

OK - I got Audacity. Now how the heck do I cut off the opening portion of a track?

I've loaded one in and I can't get to that precise point to delete from the track start.

New skin time (lest y'all think I'm not doing anything at all this summer) :)

This is called DJ-400, as I have gotten too lazy to come up with any cool names. It's fairly simple, and people have been asking for more 1280 x 800 skins. I guess it would work well in outdoor situations, due to the color scheme (which was somewhat borrowed from some unknown place) :D

Very Nice Rick how about the same layout in the same colour as DJ-200 for evening etc. :sqcool:

Geez, you folks are lazy... :sqlaugh:

I spent all that time writing the skinning reference manual, so you folks could do this stuff. The more time I spend on skins, the less time I have to work on the software itself... ;)

Get creative, and make some skins... :)

I can't help it if yer slow... :sqlaugh:

In all seriousness though, the reason I spent soo many years to build it this way, was so that the user community would have a viable product for many years to come. In other words, the users can turn it into whatever they want, without the need for me to do it for them :)

Think of it this way -- you give a man a fish, he can eat for one day,
Give him a durable fishing pole, and he can catch what he wants, for a lifetime... :)
