I dont know, the whole thread said they think your wrong but you think your right. It has nothing to do with computer guys versus CD guys. I have a computer that is preprogramed full of music. I could easly put everything on my iPod to do it without a computer.
If your looking to get people to dance, what your saying is preprogrammed music is just as good as a DJ. Heck, now your telling all your guests at your engagement party, that DJing is easy all you do is preprogram the music ahead of time.
Educating people starts one family at a time, most DJs try desperately to educate people that we are more than button pushers. Your family is really going to respect your profession now. He just shows up, sets up the equipment and presses play.
I cant wait until one of your cousins is getting married and they ask you if you can preprogram some music for them to save money. You should be the spokesman for the iPod DJ.
If your just looking to have some background music the whole entire time thats one thing, but just going to push one button for your system is BS and you know it. The volume is going to vary from song to song, they'll be times you might not even want music. There may be a time when you need to make announcements. You'll have to switch from cocktail to dinner, to dance and whatever in between.
You, I and everyone here knows theres more to it than pushing one button.

It's a celebration, your saving a few bucks from the break the hall gave you, just get a DJ to rock the house.
