I got it! A "REAL DJ" understands syncopation, is a secretary, a cashier, and does great barbecue!!
And ALL this time, I was such an idiot (I still am, anyway) because I thought that the fact that there is a local market for "DJs"; the fact that I call myself a "DJ"; the fact that other people call me a "DJ"; that fact that other people refer me as a "DJ" to others; the fact that I have a "DJ" contract; and the fact that other people sign the contract for my "DJ" services (and, actually, so much more) made me a "REAL DJ."
But, then again, I don't even know if I'm actually "REAL." Hey, let's first work on defining what is "REAL."
//
Hey, now, here is a good point, which I hope that EVERYBODY will seriously consider: Mr. Durio could go around and poke at everybody's use of the English language (yes, I'm pretending that he doesn't already

), and then claim that only a few of us are actually "REAL ENGLISH" speakers (even though the real ones live only in Canada--though 2/3 Americans do not know this

/

).
...all of this makes you wonder why the general public often does not take DJs seriously. Threads like this show exactly what a bunch of clowns we can be and often are. I'm okay with it, though, cuz I got medical documents to support my claim of being retarded.
