Boots up quicker. Nice interface. Seems less obnoxious. And so far it runs everything I put on it except that I forgot it is 64 bit and some software I want to run won't work on 64 bit.

It seems to be what Vista said it would be.

I'm waiting for my copy to come in the mail. I bought my daughter a laptop a couple of months ago that included a free upgrade to Windows 7. FWIW I did upgrade to Snow Leopard and it is super fast.

young...

i'll still wait

I like the feature where you can have two web pages side by side but sometimes I can't make it work. I reduce the size of the first page and then kind of drag it to the upper right hand corner and it will snap into place and take up exactly the right half of the screen...then I try and do the left one but it doesn't snap into place...hmmm...

The other problem that I'm having is since there is no Windows Mail anymore (I did like this with Vista on my old machine) I'm trying Windows Live Mail...I'm still having a problem making it work with my website email. I can send emails but I can't receive them. I have the settings exactly the same as I do on Windows Mail on my Vista machine....

But overall I like alot...quicker...faster booting up and turning off times...

Coreen just got her's loaded on her new computer, replacing Vista...First report is that "it's flying..".:sqlaugh:

I'm sure she'll pop in with a more indepth report.....:sqlaugh:

Ok, does anyone's "back button"...the IE left arrow button...not work now? Weird.....

Ok, never mind....I restarted the lappy and it's fine...weird moment...

Kevin, by chance do you have 2 displays connected and enabled on your system when you try to do this? I've found that if I have a left enabled display, that I can't snap to the left of the right display, and to the right of the left display, as those are right down the center of both. If I have the second display disabled however, it works as expected.

I've installed my new copy of Win 7 x64 Pro this past weekend, and am still configuring it for my needs. I love it. If I could get it to work with Light jockey, I'd retire my XP!

Sorry to report this to you... but check what I just found on the grounds of Microsoft....

Might be alot of people digging in that hole when they start finding all the holes in 7 :sqwink:

I am simply looking at it from a needs basis. I do not need a massive amount of security or parental control features on my computer. I use it to send emails, web browsing and to create and maintain Office documents. So why do I need to risk putting a POS on my computer (Vista) or something new and untested when what I have works perfectly fine for what my needs are?
