Well Houston, looks like ya got me beat I have to admit it. Impressive for sure.
I hope someday to have a setup like yours. I bow down to your awesomeness.
Thanks for taking the time to critique my setup and set me straight.

Again I am not here to beat or compete with anyone. Just expressing opinions and sharing. Here are a few pics taken recently.

good one LeBlanc I hope the videographers tripod is black or the bride might scream. Oh my god silver so obtrusive. Course the yellow leg topped ones you use didnt stick out. Black will stand out like silver in a given room depending on decor and color. I often notice that my table cover is black and in its own way stands out from the other tables wrapped in brides color choices. Add Scrims etc it becomes very noticeable. a couple silver stands wont stick out nearly as much.

thanks Steve sorry for the misunderstanding I only made my comment in regards to how I viewed what you viewed in regards to the skrims versus a pair of aluminum speaker stands it wasnt meant as an attack.

I have to give props to the Bose guys. You really have a nice clean look there (Beecher and Nexgen)..

I also agree with Jeff that there is absolutely no need to spread speakers from end to end for looks or for sound. Music is aimed at the dance floor area. No need to blast from corner to corner.

Spreading for me is using 4 boxes. 2 in front of my set up about 20' apart and 2 outside boxes set 10' apart from the outside of the center boxes. I rarely do this, maybe once in the last 5 years.

Hey John, are you running mono or stereo? I have to admit, I balked at houston about the stereo/spread thing. But since I've been running stereo (the past month) let me tell you it is SERIOUSLY SEXY to have those dudes running stereo and spread out 10 ft on either side of my ears.

Again to each his own. I would rather use a more powerful setup per side than multiple speakers per side. You have less chances of comb filtering that way.
Here is some information about Comb Filtering.

Understand - to me (are you reading Tuck?)...they look much less noticable behind the bass bins....
Those are actually Bose Speaker Stands over 30 years old. They are like Brand new because every so often I polish them with fine steel wool and I also transport them in their original Bose cases. I also have Black Ones. In Darkened areas I prefer to use the aluminum ones.

This is my setup from this past weekend at the Womens Basketball Hall of Fame(I swear there is such a place) I know my speaker placement sucks but I had no choice due to space limitations. Critique away !!!

Its hard to give constructive criticism without seeing more pics of the place. Based on what you said , to what Space limitations are you referring, the room or the DJ space that was "given" to you?
If you were confined to that area I would think that the room was small so why the need for that size speaker setup? If it was a large hall why were you confined to just that area? Again, these are just questions, I am not hassling you.

Thats a picture of a setup! Nice boxes though!
