OK, the BP is done and my wife SWEARS she got lots of pictures and maybe some video. It was a really fun event that I am gald that I finished when I did. Ir was a "little" breezy at the start, but OK.... Just as I finished up it started getting cloudy and windy. The wind was a factor in where the bubbles blew, but it wasn't terrible.

I had the benefit of having 2 mascots there.... the Chic Fil A cow, and a blue elephant named "DumPo"..... they actually did many of the dances with the kids.

I use iTunes for these parties. Ir works out really well. I put 40 songs in a playlist and pick and choose what I think will work. I added a few different songs today... I added Hoedown Throwdown and the girls loved it, and the boys were "ok" with it.... For Hoedown, My twins led the crowd in dancing.

I also used Cupid Shuffle.... nobody but my kids and one other girl knew what it was. I took it off ASAP.

Biggest hits of the day were Cha Cha Slide and The Macarena....

Best Game of the day was "No Snakes in My Yard"....

Hopefully I'll have some great pics to post soon. I'm at work now.

Sounds good Papa. So how did the Kid Rock song go over?

What did you use again for the snake game? I'd look for the thread you posted it in but I'm too damn lazy.:sqwink:

No Kid Rock songs... :sqerr:

I used those pool noodles.... KIds absolutely loved it....

BTW, when I post the pics, don't laugh when you see the DJ Skirts are on backwards.... We were supposed to face the other way for the party and then the wind changed.... it was too late to fix it.... plus, we actually did one event in the opposite side of the table....

I know which way they go on! :sqlaugh:

Papa, you out there? I know you're out there, really out there but are you reading?

Sorry if I asked already but I'm too lazy to look back. What size did you cut the noodles down to? I just bought a bunch.

LOL.... I started to reply and my attention was diverted... basically they were just cut in half for length.

so who here uses the parachutes at this point? I was talking with Ruben the other night and there are so many games you can play with this with music bumper of course. Add Bubbles and its unique.

I just purchased a 12' chute. I'll be using it next week for the first time. If it goes over well I'll buy a bigger one.

Jon, care to share some of the game ideas? For the chute I mean.:sqwink:

What, no bubbles? Are you out of your freakin mind?:sqeek: Who does a bubble party without freaking bubbles? Oh no, there goes the neighborhood. What next, cats living with dogs, no blessings at weddings, Tom leaving the business. I can't take it anymore.:sqerr:

So, just a parachute, eh?:sqcool:

Yep, I also do "Parachute Parties" now.

the little ones can play duck duck goose around the chute. I have a large list let me try and dig it up.

I maybe a bit behind the times here but my kids just turned me on to some new music for Bubble Parties. It's The Imagination Movers from the Disney Channel. Really cool stuff. You can find the songs on Amazon and iTunes.

Im about to get into the Bubble scene. Thanks for all of you sharing so much to allow me to consider giving it a whirl.

Hey everyone...

Wow...it's been a while...I just spent the past hour going through the old posts here. Glad to see everyone is well.

Also, thanks to Steve F, I just watched the tale of the ODJT hat....quite funny!

Hope all is well...dropped by to say hello!

Just got back from one, literally 7 blocks from my house! Ya gotta love that! Even better is that I only had to load out / in about 12 feet from my car.

Man it was SUNNY today. I got some sunburn in about 85 minutes of the whole event. This was a reschedule from yesterday because of light rain in the morning.

Again, it was a 15 minute party for the young kids and a 45 minute party for the bigger kids. I really don't enjoy doing the parties for the younger ones. Half the time, they not only don't have fun, but at least a few ill end up crying.

I MUST find a way to be able to see my screen better when it is this sunny. I built a cover, but it doesn't really work well. Better than nothing, though.

What was cool today was that while doing this party, I actually booked a party at an entirely different school. It seems that the lady in charge of the school I was at today had a friend over at her school, and that lady was a director for another daycare that I had never even heard of.

It will be a combination "Welcome Back / Open House / Bubble Party.... 2 hours, and $300.... On a Saturday morning. Not bad for a Saturday, eh? I'll be home before 1PM.

Man, this was a busy week. Three bubble parties. That makes 47 completed this year with 10 more on the books.... Fortunately, I have a month off before my next one.

The place I did mine at today is always pretty nice to me, and yet, I really don't like going there. The kids are just "different".... they never seem to know the same songs as the other daycare centers, and the kids are a little wilder than everywhere else I go.

I'm happy to have a break, that's for sure.

Perhaps they are Eagles Fans

Or like Michael Vick.:sqlaugh:

I did two yesterday. The first was an OK daycare. They are repeat customers and I do their first aid and CPR training as well. The second was a brand new 1 year old higher end school. It was like walking in to a new clinic. Two receptionists at the front desk, individual rooms everywhere. It was so hot they set me up in the "Performing Arts Room" with stage. I even got to use the bubbles. They were amazed.

Had one today in town. Not the nicest of schools. The kids were like Papa described, different. Even the teachers (if that's what you call them) were just slugs. I've got 5 more left for this year. We'll see how next year goes.
