Thanks Papa, that's what I suspected. I guess this plan will continue to be a taboo subject on the boards, then?

I don't thnk so. This is just a part of Rob Peters' business. With John, that was all he had, so we tried to protect his ability to earn, im my estimation. Still, I would think that individuals who paid for the information might not want to share, but as a whole, I don't see why it should be taboo, now.

Randy,

I completely understand. I don't have it either and have been doing things such as this for years. You are correct, the plan is a great way to get someone started who has no idea how but would love to work with kids. I've been working with this age for years both through entertainment programs and structured fire safety programs.

I work with a local daycare/pre-school very closely. I just ran an idea by her which she loved. To get ready for my appearance I suggested the kids make Chicken Hats as a project. I told her I carry Chicken hats but that I was concerned about the Lice situation that breaks out in these schools. She agreed. Then she said she'd buy the hats for her kids herself. She also suggested to offer this to the schools as an up-sell. They either buy them or they don't but the thought of offering them was a good idea.

So with that if I can offer any other ideas let me know.

I don't think anyone cares what is discussed, but I also think there are things that will happen on a national level not just with this program, but with other programs as well. It makes sense for full-time DJs (sorry for saying that word) who want to bring in income during the week, but don't want to have to start every program from the ground up.

I personally like the idea of being listed on a national web site that lists qualified operators as I'm well past the kids in daycare age so I don't have those connections. I buy in when it's reasonable to see what happens. That may be nothing....or the day may come when you can't use terms like Bubble Party, WED, etc. because of patent rights. Perhaps a national daycare chain like Kindercare will tell you they are only allowed to hire "certified" bubble party operators. Maybe not.

Not trying to stir anything up, guys, just trying to show you another way of looking at things. I heard all those complaints in Vegas about every seminar being an infomercial and so on. Name one legitimate industry where those in the know don't sell their hard earned knowledge to others.

Continue the sharing!

Rick

Rick

That's a whole nuther ball of wax. Who says you, me, Rob Peters, or ANYBODY is "qualified"? All Rob's site really means is that we paid our yearly dues.

And with respect to all who do parties, I sure a heck am not allowing ANYBODY to tell me whether I am qualified or not.... except for the people who choose to hire me, or not.

I too work very closely with many daycares...my wife own and operates one and is involved with the local membership.

Love the chicken hat idea, care if I use it?
Be my guest.

You can send the $9.95 directly to me or you may just buy my book.:sqlaugh:

Oh, I've got more where that came from.:sqcool:

Papa, now we're getting into WED territory! That's where I usally get myself into trouble.:sqerr:

Rick,

Friends like you could never get my blood pressure up.:sqwink: It's all good!

I gotta write a book or something. Hey, can I sell my trading card? It's got me on it. Limited edition, only a few left.

BED! Oh, I'm having some hats made. OK, I need 20 guys to join with me. That way we'll have one more then them.

I think you might have something there, Ron. Let's just remember who came up with the BED Concept and terminology, patent pending, all rights reserved, copyrighted.......so on, so forth and one TM for good luck!

I'm seeing a Carolina Blue Cap with kind of a pink BED logo surrounded with bubbles and musical notes. kind of a Jimmy Buffett goes pre-K! I'm thinkin' dues of about $25 for life, $10 a year, or $3 a quarter. We'll try to keep the dues low, but we'll have to see how the beer supply looks after the first year. :sqerr:

I'll also be happy to market my t-shirt line of "Let's Get Ready To Bubble" and "Bubble Man Road Crew" shirts for a mere $25 each, my cost. I know it's kinda weird that a t-shirt costs more than a lifetime BED membership, but these are REALLY nice t-shirts! Trust me. Oh, what the hell, let's give 'em a free t-shirt with every lifetime membership.........or maybe a free lifetime membership with every t-shirt purchase!

Nope, we'd better make it 10. At 50, it'll take me 5 years to get in! :sqerr:

But at least then you will be "qualified"...:sqlaugh:

Rick,

It you're going to peddle your wares then I'm going to sell mine.

Folks be the first to purchase my new and exciting book.

I've taken what others have done, rewrote it in my own words, and have create "The Best Bubble Party Ever". Yes, after reading my book you too will be able to charge $3000, $4000, even $5000 for your 1 hour bubble parties. Act now and I'll throw in my hidden chapters only available by email. These hidden chapters will be written once I've receive all my money and can make up some more stuff. For instance "hidden chapter 13" talks about the difference between a full time vs. part time Bubble Entertainment Director. Part time BED's do not have the time nor skill to provide those extra large, long lasting bubble like those of a true full time professional bubble boy.

"Keep Those Bubbles Blowing"

Hi everyone...

I love the humor here...It made me laugh so hard I spit out the sip of coffee I took.

But seriously, the Bubble Parties website is going to be re done over the next few weeks. I FINALLY got control over the site, and am working with a web developer to re-design and re-brand Bubble Parties.

As Papa indicated, I have am am going to take Bubble Parties to another level over the next year, focusing on a marketing plan that will promote parties and its' providers in the public eye. The updated plan includes most of John's original content, as well as information about how to pursue business outside of day care centers and pre-schools.

As far as being "qualified", part of our plans include more exposure and opportunity to those who purchased the plan and are involved in the national site. No titles...no fancy logos...just an opportunity to promote this concept on a national level for now. And as far as the fees go, any business person will know that there are costs involved with running a business. And that's what I am doing with Bubble parties...in an effort to provide exposure to the concept and those who purchased the plan.
(I am not looking to pi$$ off anyone who is doing this and didn't buy the plan, just being fair to those who did invest in it.)

If you have any questions, or would like more information, please PM me. I'll be happy to provide the "taste" you are looking for. Not trying to hide anything and would be happy to discuss information, but I would like to be able to answer specific questions off the boards.

Thanks for chiming in, Rob. One of the beautiful things about ODJT is that a little disagreement can sequence into not a giant argument like some of those other boards, but rather a humorous and slightly sarcastic satire.

I gotta be honest though, I think we're all serious about the BED caps, at least I am.

I can just see them on our little heads at the next DJ conference.........:idea1:

Oh yeah, reserve my copy of the book, Ron. Any special deals if I buy a case to distribute to all my BED clients?

Sure Rick, I will personally autograph everyone for you. I'll even through in a case of my own specially designed bubble juice. Visit me at my table at the next conference. And don't forget to sit in on my seminar, "DJ's blow
the darnedest bubbles".
