Unless you're hard panning, the effect will be minimal to all those not dead center in the field. Like I said above, stereo is great, assuming you can control the environment for most listeners. If you can't, then mono will benefit more, as more people will get more of the intended mix.
If it works for you, fine. Just pointing out that running in mono will help a lot of issues in sound in the typical places we set up in, and I would bet the change in overall sound would be almost unnoticeable.
