Bump....

Dear Rick,

Support ticket in your email box. ;)

Where's that beer...? ;) :)

Actually, I can't duplicate the issue on Vista or 7 -- no XP machines in house to test on anymore... :dontknow:

I'm having an issue with the history. The songs load into history while loading them into a deck and while they are loaded over by another song. So, I'm getting duplicate songs in the history list. But, it's very random and I can't pin point any specific trigger.

Is it an on-skin history view, or in the popup window...?

It's in the pop-up window.

I found the little netbook, which has XP -- and couldn't duplicate on that either...

Does this happen when you double-click a song to load, or on drag and drop...?

Both ways.

If it only happened while double-clicking, I would say you are doing it twice without realizing it (clicking too fast) -- hence you would get duplicates.

V5 starts another thread to handle the housekeeping on load, of which updating the history list is included in that. A double double-click, would cause the thread event to be fired twice, with the same filename.

Do you have the play counter update turned on?

Trying putting some songs into the auto-mix que or different decks. Then, pull songs from the library and the different decks.

Just now, I was slowing adding songs from the library. No problems. But, I then loaded several into the auto-mix que and then pulled them up into the deck and the problem started.

Like I mentioned in my email....not really to concerned because the lappy goes in for an upgrade, including going to Window 7 which is what V5 was built for. I have no issues with it on my Windows 7 machine.

But, I did feel compelled to try and take up as much of Rick's Sunday afternoon as possible. ;)

Sorry, missed answering that one....geeez!

Yes, I do/did. I've tested both ways...same results.

Dunno... :dontknow:

The only way I can see it happening, is if the song is getting loaded twice, for some reason...

Possibly some sort of buffering or duplication in your mouse driver or something, or a redirect of some sort...

Haha -- that's ok, as I'm working on the next version of Rockit today anyway, and I have the code in front of me :)
