Btw, where do I customize the wave form? I note it is colored in some of the skins and black and white in others.

Ok, I figured it out... :)

For the spectrum display (bars):

tcolor = bar color
gridcolor = peak bar color

You can't change them individually, they will both be the same -- You have to set it on vp-b.

For the regular wave form, you can set them individually, and you use the linecolor.

Hey Ricky.....I'm going to start with the questions already this week. ;)

Anyways, when using the slideshow function in the video jukebox, can it be set up to load the images and then loop them? I'm not seeing anything, so I think I know the answer.

So, why would I need it? I take photos at gigs, I'd like to load some photos into the slideshow and let them run thru a few times.

Also, how about adding a function that would allow me to designate a default image to display without loading anything into it?

Have a great evening! :) ;)

Dude, didn't you hear -- I'm working on karaoke now... :sqlaugh:

I'll let you know when Scott gets back from this afternoons gig... :sqlaugh:

I've had it running on an old XP machine for about a week -- seems ok. Randy tested extensively on XP as well, and I think we addressed most issues with that outdated OS... ;)

I too - would be interested in how it does on XP, and with what service packs installed.

For 10+ system multi-ops the computer of choice is likely to be refurbished XP office machines whcih can be had for $200-$300. At $140 for Rockit - that puts the total player cost under $500 and less than half the price of a top tier CD player.

I have a few recommendations in the works. Keep me posted!

My dedicated gig laptop is XP sp3, stripped OS, no networking, no other apps.

My test laptop is my daily use, fully loaded laptop running 32-bit Win7 and about 30 various apps including MS Office 2007, iTunes, Audacity, MP3Gain, Tag & Rename, AudioGrabber, Media Coder, TrueCrypt, all the Lenovo gadgets, multiple anti-spyware, firewall and VPN clients, etc.

I have yet to run into any conflicts or problems on either machine with 5.0 build 121.

Rick, how can I change the Rockit logo on the external monitor with my own logo? Do I need to go into like notepad, paint, ect to save it?

Just make your own logo image using the graphics program of your choice, and use the Browse button in the Text Output screen, and select that image -- it will remember the change.

You can use BMP, GIF or JPG images -- it will be scaled to fit :)

I have a naked chick as my default :sqcool:

Do I need to send a support ticket in to get my answers? yorofl: :yomoon:

Danno's dealing with tickets this week, not me... :sqlaugh:

I'm not exactly clear on what you want to do BTW (Blue Moon beer gives me a great buzz)... :D

Are you speaking to the Text Output, or Video Output? One will always override the other -- they don't work well in tandem. If you want to display a static image, you need to use one, or the other.

If you want to just display a static, full screen image, just open it on one of the video decks (jukebox or on skin), press play, then pause. It will stay there. Make sure the Text Output is turned off, because it uses the same secondary output window, as the video decks.

See, that was easy... :)

Within the video jukebox.

First question was pertaining to the slideshow. Right now, it will run thru loaded images, deleting them after they are displayed. I'd like to see an option to allow them to stay loaded and a loop function, so images can be displayed a few times prior to new ones being loaded.

Second question was pertaining to the static image that I'd like to use. Instead of having to load the image each time, I'd like to be able to use a default image that would display when there was nothing else. It currently does this if the player is built into a screen, but I don't see the option when it's just viewed as a pop-up.

Imagine my scenario.....I'm entertaining at a wedding. I have created a nice static image (monogram) that I'm displaying on the monitor/projector. At times, I'm taking a few candid party shots and want to run a slideshow of them as well, but I want to loop them a few times before I either delete them or add a new group. Or better yet, give me the ability to tell RockIt to loop so many times before stopping and then displaying the static image.

Btw, all this came about because my son decided to purchase a new flat screen and now I have an extra 21" flat screen I'm going to thru into the setup. So you can blame him! :)

Ps...would it help if I sent a skid of Blue Moon to the farm? ;)

Hey Rick, a Rockit 4.2 question if you'd allow...

I currently use Rockit 4.2 and two Behringer sound cards in my backup/ceremony rig.

Since the laptop I use only has two USB ports, can I put both sound cards on an unpowered hub so I can have the other port used for a wired mouse?

And if I go this route, will it require a change in Rockit's config?

Knowing Rick's celebrating the 4th by drinking (much like he celebrates most of the summer ;)) I'll be happy to answer. lol

Yes, you can run them into a hub. I run my Audio Beach's into one. RockIt will pick them up just like it will if you have them plugged directly into the USB ports themselves. Just confirm your selections in the Mixer Config.

Depends...

Using two on an unpowered hub CAN work, then again, it may not. Depends on how much juice is available.

In my experience, the Berry's don't draw a whole lot of power, but I'd probably err on the cautious side, and use a powered hub, just to be safe...

When you plug a Berry into a different port, Windows usually gives it a different ID and name, so you might need to change Rockit's config to match.

Sorry, didn't catch that he was asking about an unpowered hub. I do use a powered hub; hidden neatly away in my console.

Rick, when I dont have an internet connection at a gig, I get this error message saying "The server name or address could not be resolved." Is there a way to stop this from coming up at a gig. Sometimes it will shut down Rockit, and sometimes it doesnt. This happened to me at my 20th year class reunion last weekend. Thanks for your help.
