Mike very nice site but it speaks nothing about you as a DJ visibly. Do you offer DJ services? You might want to atleast offer a picture of you and your system. Mention something about music and how that makes what you offer appropriate for what you offer. Just my view. Otherwise very nice and I like the song selected if you have the rights to play the whole portion of it you are Golden.

Thanks guys I will look into the transitions. And to your point Cam and Jon yes the verbage is sparse and I will be adding another section soon. As far as selling photography YES! My wife took those photos and I really want to emphasize selling the DJ photo package because of the price point. Thanks for the input guys, it is greatly appreciated!

Mike, besides having a web site that "looks" good, you need a web site that strangers can find!

If there was a "holy crap thanks Stevie C button" I'd hit it. Great information Stevie and yes that is the second phase of the plan. As of now I am mostly subcontracted through a DJ service doing a few on my own. The plan is to work on the website rankings to get seen and also do some major advertising on the local wedding website here in ct (theknot.com) Again thanks for all of that info. Very helpful and VERY appreciated

Mike

I like it for the simple fact that it is... well simple. My only concern is that it seems too simple. I don't see any social media links, site updates, video demos, song lists, additional information. There are only a handful of photos and they're great shots btw. Try to include more images to highlight what your company has done recently.

My big question is how are you going to push this website? I've never been a big fan of flash. It is hard for the bots to crawl the code, which means getting traffic can be an up hill battle. However, you still have off-site optimization to work in your favor. A lot of people use Wordpress for their content management system. This system is great for scheduling updates and integrating plugins/google tools.

+1 on the photography vibe. I know you do both, you just need to sell both.

As far as site rankings go, it's a new site. It's not going to rank very high right away. Make a few tweaks with keywords & submit it to the search engines

ok few of things to look at!

1. no html alternative

2. the annoying music playing! when you join!

3. why dont you use your website email address!

4. the facebook thing goes nowhere I use facebook.trebleclefdj.com.au and myspace.trebleclefdj.com.au
using my subdomain as the website and works for all things myspace, twitter, soundcloud etc etc

5. why ? ( please disable any popup blockers ) you want people to have them come up ? thats the sites I stay away from because they can also be a site that could be speading trojans , viruses etc no thanks!

6. so havent you got myspace, twitter etc etc that can also be used

anyway hope that helps

How do I go about submitting keywords to the search engines? I always thought they just crawled your site and if anything new was there they picked up on it? Then again I'm learning with SEO as I go

http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

And just google "Yahoo site submission", "Alexa....", etc.

They will crawl your site eventually, this just gives them a little nudge. ;)

DON'T do it more than once a month or they'll spank you.

just saw the site now
I'm not much on the technical end
but I will give you my "quite valuable" personal view.
1- dont like having to choose FB or ENTER SITE. I always prefer to go straight to the main page. add a FB link from the home page.
2- I'm cautious about music on a website. to me, it seems to do more harm than good. people visit your site for the info, not to listen to a song. and you always have to think about personal taste. what if a potential client ABSOLUTELY HATES the song you use on your site? what if they think the song you chose means thats the only type of music you play?
3- the pictures are beautiful, but as mentioned above, there are not enough of them. and they appear to all be from the same bride/groom. throw up more couples to show a little variety, and put some DJ type pics in there
4- the basic layout and design are very nice and very different. but the color of the "DJ AND PHOTO SERVICES" (dark purple) makes it disappear on the black background
just my two cents

As I've mentioned elsewhere, a Hubspot report is not the end all of your website's SEO. Their reports have several flaws.

My primarily concern with your site is...um...where is the DJ service info...

Otherwise I very nice Photographers site.
