I had a guy with an issue last month, where Rockit wouldn't start. Double-click the icon, and nothing came up, but you couldn't run any programs until after you shut Rockit down in Task Manager.

Couldn't figure it out till now.

Another guy has the same problem the other day -- I go thru the same process to debug. Remembered the first guy, and looked at his emails.

Turns out, they were both using Norton 360.


The latest guy is a computer geek, and was kind enough to use a fresh system to test. So, he installs Rockit and his normal programs, runs fine -- then he installs Norton 360, and Rockit, and a few other programs cease to run!

I've read about numerous problems with Norton 360, and given this latest data, I'm very wary of it. I have no idea why it is blocking programs from running (including Rockit).

Y'know, there are about 60 undocumented commands in Rockit -- but I can't tell you what they are, or I'd have to kill ya :sqcool:

For example, let's say you wanted to fire off a cruise missile, from a British battleship located in the Pacific, towards Chucky The Evil Bikini Master in Maui. You would press the following key sequence -- [transmission disrupted due to atmospheric conditions] -- see, that was easy :)

BTW There is some new fangled ideas in software development called "Intuitive software" LOL

Probably a different provider though -- Amazon has left open the option to charge for that basic service (which means I'd get charged -- not you). :sqerr:


All my files are tagged with art though, so no worries here :D
 
lucky you.i have a collection here which when tagged automatically they are tagged with the wrong thing.i have to correct a lot,but i certainly appreciate it,thanks.
 
A little sneak peek at the next version. This is one of the jukebox skins, and is far from finished -- but I'm using it to design some of the new jukebox type features that will be in V5.

This skin is designed for a touchscreen jukebox, and works rather nice on my MSI Touch :)

That's a VBulletin issue -- you'll have to talk to Danno.

VBulletin (the software that runs this site), issues a lot of calls to embedded YouTube videos. YouTube in turn, denies the requests, because it thinks it is bot generated spam.

It's a flaw in the way VBulletin works. Maybe they will fix it someday... ;)

I actually clicked through the link and the user removed the Video. Asides the video embedding is a 3rd party addon. God forbid vBulletin include something useful in a new release.. Don't even get me started on new licensing structure released last week for 4.0 and beyond. :sqmad:

Actually, I've found that YouBoob, will lock down requests that are embedded, if their bandwidth gets punched too hard. Vb, doesn't seem to have a timeout (unless they have implemented that lately).

So, if 60 billion Vb sites, are trying to embed to YBoob, they send you a silly error message (can't blame them).


So, it's all yer fault :sqlaugh: :rofl:

I found it while looking for the Maui Chuck video I did some time back. I did find that though (you would think I would, since I did it). The AARP mag throws me off now and again though (I think they make their text really small on purpose) :sqlaugh:


I just found it cool, to find something nice, when I wasn't expecting it. I was a superstar for 2 minutes :sqcool: :sqbiggrin:

New skin (not available yet though).

I designed this for doing touch screen tutorials -- very simple layout, with large buttons for ease of use, and the cool touch screen stuff in Win 7.


I'm doing the video tutorials this week, that will focus on a number of things -- basic to fancy mixing, and just general Rockit nav. I've been playing with phase mixing (same song in each deck) this afternoon. Been a long time since I did that with vinyl, but it's not hard at all on a touch screen (requires practice though) :)

I'll get the videos out as quickly as possible...

Touch screen stuff is part of the OS ( Windows) -- Rockit works fine with any input device that Windows can handle :)
