Mix .. just so you know, you generally need a contract for your liability insurance to be valid (most require it) .. free event or not.
A couple ?? Mix is looking to get biz-ay !!I got one more day to celebrate and I got my focus on that besides a couple of ladies I'm talking to.
I feel sorry for you. You probably have a few friends. I bet you can count them on one hand and not use up all 5 fingers.Another free event. Really please write a book on how to do free jobs and jobs you have to pay for.
I have many friends, they don’t expect nor would they allow me to do an event for them at no charge, they realize the investment of both time and money I have in my business and as a true friend want to compensate me for my services, the only people who have asked me to do “free” gigs are freeloaders who pretend to be my friendI feel sorry for you. Yep, Tigers don't change their stripes...MOSTLY CUZ TIGERS RULE!Party Time Hobbyist said:Nothing like checking back into ODJT and see as much as they have changed, they are the same.
Mike,So, let me see if I got this straight...
Your partner books the gigs, but you can't seem to get any of the details about the event.
Then he includes you...but only to take bad pictures, and videos no one ever sees.
But sometimes you DO work as the DJ at these events...
but if the crowd isn't into your favorite music, then they are lame because they won't dance.
Sometimes, you buy new gear to DO these gigs...
even IF you don't need the gear and/or don't have the money.
But, you love being a DJ...so you'll take a job for little or no money...
and then post on ODJT about how you no longer take jobs for little or no money.
(and tell everyone else that they shouldn't)
And naturally...NONE of this is your fault.
I think "breaking up" with your partner is a great idea.
Then both of you will have no one to blame but yourselves.
Where have you been ? This is my daily entertainment!Nothing like checking back into ODJT and see as much as they have changed, they are the same.
I talked to my partner today and asked about the situation. He said he has been reaching out to the guy and he hasn't responded back. I said for him to ask for his number and he said he won't give me his number.
