Hi Folks,
vBulletin released 3.7 yesterday the newest version of our forum software. This update includes a lot of changes, most notably for members is 'social profiles' you can make public comments on people profiles, much like MySpace. Also the existing buddy list functionality, is extended so you can add friends and your friend avatar will show on your profile. Sounds like fun, eh?
Also members will be able to have their own photo galleries. There will also be social groups, you can create you own groups for instance RockIt or Bose users and they is a private messaging area just for that group as a whole, I think I'm not 100% sure how that part works.
That's the preliminary from what I've read and what my test installs show. I'm sure there is other stuff. I don't know exactly how everything works right now so we'll probably run into a few errors along the way.
I'll be installing 3.7 either sometime today or tomorrow morning as I'm going to have close the board for it. When we reopen, the portal will be gone it's got me annoyed and I haven't had the time to make it look really nice like I wanted to.
Anyone have any questions or feedback?
Thanks,
Dan
