I disagree with your analysis and I don't say this just to start some sort of dialog between you and me.

I do enjoy pointing out what a DJ might not of thought about or showing them another way of doing the same thing. I do enjoy starting threads and seeing where they go but all of this is just a extension from my DJ passion.

Thank you DJ Fuzzy

I just don't see where this is going to go that will make you happy so I would like to just ask one question. What did you hope would happen by sharing your views with me?

Yep!

Thank you for answering the question (it wasn't cryptic to me). I disagree, but I respect your right to your opinion and choice to remain private. However, the latter will always evoke skepticism in any open forum whether you consider it ridiculous or not.

There are those of faith and those of science.

OK (too short)

I had hoped that this dialogue would have opened up conversation between fellow professionals that didn't feel the need to hide behind anonymity and open-ended, useless posts.

Apparently there is nobody here, or anywhere else, that is as professional and as seasoned as you.

I just have a different way of being on these Chat Boards. I size the DJ up by looking at how they post, What information they are interested in, Do they come across credible, How do they respond to my posts. Because they have a Web Site doesn't mean squat to me. You have DJs that are 16 years old that have Web Sites what does that say about the requirements some of these DJs are looking for to determine if the DJ is legit or not.

Factually, a 16 year old DJ with a website is more credible than an anonymous poster. Why? Because most people tend to believe what they can see. Is it fair? No less fair than implying that age dictates one's ability to be great at what they do (which is what it seems like you're doing above).

The sword cuts both ways. You don't like to be judged. Yet, you judge.

You have a right to "roll" how you like out here in cyberspace just as those against it have a right to "roll" over it.

Cool?

I'm glad you think that way......and I'm fortunate that not very many DJs in this market have unleashed the power of Googleocity like a small handful of us.

Prospects are pretty smart nowadays....they know (or should know) when something's too good to be true: i.e. Academy DJs or A Sensory Sound DJs ($495 wedding receptions).....they can tell when someone's 16 years old too!

People are paying attention to review sites: they are learning how to "Google someone's name".

There is the OLD way of doing things: kissing banquet hall's azzes, pounding the pavement, Yellow Pages, Bridal Fairs, publications, 1300 square foot offices.

There is the NEW way:

Internet costs (Travis hosting + SEO improvements +WeDJ + Gigmasters)= $600 per year

Don't get me started with the minimum age I think a DJ should be. LOL

Hank we are all judged once we post something by our readers so it would be untrue to say that I didn't expect to be judged. I just find it unbelievable that any adult that has reviewed my entire body of posts would still question if I was a Mobile DJ. Of course thats my perception.

I like the way I roll much like the way DJMC likes to roll about booking events on the Web, Much like Scott will always come to the defense of the GWYW troops along with DJ Teddy, Much like Mr K does what Mr K does , Much like Soft Jock Rick and lets not forget Jon Tuck and all the other DJs that have their own personalities that they display on a Chat Board.

Cesar I am quite curious what YOU think the minimum age should be please enlighten us

Alrighty then. Thanks for the redundancy that is this thread. :sqwink:

After 400 posts on this Board why are there still individuals that will question whether I am a Mobile DJ. Are they that thick headed?

Isn't it ridiculous by now to see someone respond to one of my posts with a line that questions if I am a Mobile DJ.:sqconfused:

All that 400 posts prove is the definition of "Post Pig"

Do you like being told what to do?

Damit

If I just would of know what the number was that determined what a Post Pig is I would of tried to stay under it.

It's apparent to me that you like to be told what to do, or what is right. A seasoned veteran, such as yourself, shouldn't be asking open-ended, bull**** questions. I'm confident in my skills, which is why I sit back, watch, listen, and learn. I don't post self-serving posts like you do.

Hank

The post I just shared with you on another thread about a B/G being Cheap for having their events on a Weekday is a perfect example of why it is unbelievable to me that a DJ wouldn't see that I know what I am talking about as a Mobile DJ.

DJ Fuzzy

Maybe that is the root of our problem.

I am not you and you are not me. I like to post where as you like to sit back and read, Whats wrong with that?

What does this have to do with your credibilitly to an audience of your peers? Jackass!

Easy does it, guys. Getting personal ain't gonna help.

Brother Fuzzy,

Calling a fellow member a jackass wasn't necessary. :)

Irregardless of how one takes Cesar's comments, let's remember that this isn't DJ Chat. We're above that here. If we don't care for a member's comments, we don't have to react to them.

Thoughts?
