We just finished the development portion of adding Art-Net to VenueMagic. We're using the Enttec Art-Net adapter with reliable results. In addition... Did you know you can use Cat5 cabling in permanent DMX installations? We were working on stuff this week and noticed that Wikipedia now mentions it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DMX512#Cabling

LOL.... funny guy. Ben, I have to tell you... I've met all kinds of folks in this industry and many love to recite their resumes... some just look foolish in the process. You, my friend, actually know what you're doing. So for what it's worth, you get my stamp of approval. LOL.

Ben

I might have been out on the sales floor doing my job that day :sqwink: I guess I gotta speak up a bit more often so it actually looks like I really know the industry.

I spent some time on the phone with the Enttec US sales manager recently and he was really excited. My take, It has two 3 pin xlr connections and two 5 pin xlr connections. If you need to use all 4 you have to buy converters of one type or the other.

I presume Ben can get pretty close to that Enttec price :sqwink:

ben - Do you have the Obey 3 in stock

anzyxx....you'll love that...less than $100

Yes, it's good! But I'm doing very well playing with Freestyler. Too many hours spent developing new fixtures...and lot's of fun!
That Chauvet DMX spliter will be very handy. I will be able to hookup my facade, the head table uplighting and 2 tripods in no time. What I was waiting for :sqerr:

This would be good for a wall that's a bit far to run a line....It's around 70 bucks or so with sound active....

One day I will get wireless unit, not this year, everyone is on the tight budget, only one wedding over 1500.00!
