Can I please get suggestions on what analog DMX light controller I should buy?

Sorry for that last post Tunes4046. Now on a serious note, have you made a mistake as a DJ before. I made a mistake. I should have put the power cord in a separate place where there's just that one cord there. I'm human and I made a mistake. Honestly I was debating telling what happened because I know I was going to take a beating for what I did and I deserve the beating.
A 'mistake' such as using the improper cables usually happens one time. You are repeating mistakes - losing cords, using wrong cords, breaking equipment. You don't need more stuff, you need less. As already pointed out, DMX is not for you.

I appreciate the advice about DMX is not for me. Another member said the type of events I normally do using a DMX light controller isn't really needed.

Useing a gate/ compresser or any EQ on the guests mics Adrian?
I prefer an MR 18 . May be a little overkill
But that is all I have at this time.
Small footprint along with a tablet .
No. Why would I need to use one of those?

How are you mixing 4 mics?
On the back of the receiver you can use either 1/4 to 1/4 or XLR to XLK or XLR. The controller has 2 mic inputs. The receiver has 4 preset characters and 2 antennas. So no issues with using any of the mics. My buddy used those mics for Karaoke and then he sold them to me. I haven't had any issues using those mics.
So the system will work just fine.

Sorry I meant 4 preset signals. So there's no way at least I mic won't work. I have used the system several times and all 4 mics work with no issues with any of them. Just push the button on the transmitters and they all work. You can have all 4 mics on at the same time and no issues. I have one wired mic in my laptop bag just in case. I have not had to use it during a event.

Also for what I do they sound and work great. My buddy upgraded to the model that you have to program each channel on the receiver. Both units are great for their price. I watched a video on the unit I have and the review said that system is excellent. For the price I was pleasantly surprised how great that system is.

I just ordered another Denon DN MC 6000 controller and it should be here no later than Friday with the 2 day express air shipping. This time since it's used I took out the 2 year warranty. Wish me well. It's coming from a GC store in Nevada. I will certainly slow down and put the power cord a safe place by itself in my laptop bag. All together with the warranty, tax and shipping $469.23. So I feel better. Just wait and see when it gets here.

I’m glad you had money set aside in your business account to make this purchase

Yes and it should be here no later than Friday. Reverb had one for $280 plus $36 for shipping. I didn't look to get that one because I couldn't get to talk to someone to ask questions. I never bought anything from them.

He has none in his possession that actually work until this one arrives, he took out the power supply in his last one by plugging in the wrong cord, which could be easily fixed for $100 and any electronics repair shop
That's your opinion about the fix costing $100. Are you a repair man? Now so you know. I had several power cords in the same place and I couldn't remember which cord to use with the controller. As I said from now on I will remember to put the cord in a specific place all the time from now on so I don't make that mistake again.

Why not label it???

And yes I could have fixed it, you likely damaged the power supply it’s a pretty simple fix with a soldering iron and a little skill, did you check to see if there was simply a fuse you can replace

labeling would help Mixxy.
Even if it's just a piece of paper taped to the cables.
Show us a non blury pic of the two cables you bought on ebay.
Your cable for your controller should have a wall wort attached so as to drop the voltage for the unit.
Your old controller may be just fine?

I could fix it you likely damaged the internal voltage regulator it’s a less than $10 part and with a little skil and a soldering iron it’s easily replaced.

I learned long ago that learning a little about electronics repair can save a guy a lot of money

I am stepping back significantly, I realize that wedding clients don’t typically want a 55 year old DJ, and other events do not draw enough revenue to make it a viable business, My ego doesn’t need to be fed by DJing,

I think it's more your want than theirs especially in a small area. I am in the same boat I backed up a lot the last few years but I could still be playing a wedding every weekend in the summer months if I chose to. I pick and choose a lot these days. Any sign of a headache and I tell them I'm booked
