We thought Good Knight was a great addition to our wedding. The personality of our DJ, Tom, matched very well with the type of wedding we wanted. The sound was great! The time that our DJ spent with us before the date to plan was far more than we expected. All around we were very satisfied with the performance of Good Knight and would highly recommend them. ~Laura and Pat Harrington

What are your reasons?

great job tom!

reasons I do it:
Satisfaction I get from from talking people into trusting me with their most important day, and then have them very glad they did afterwards.

I enjoy it.

I love music.

Money.

I do it for just what you quoted....customer satisfaction....and that's also why I constantly strive to improve all aspects of my performance. I don't do weddings, but I have found myself, mainly because of my age, doing a lot of Wedding anniversary parties, and the pleasure people get out of hearing songs from 1955, 56, 64, .......brings back memories of their wedding day.

Do I care if my clients are happy? Usually of course, but I do it for selfish reasons,,, the amount of money that I make VS the amout of work I do it outstanding.

I like a job that the money to work ratio is high.....

oh yeah, I like like to watch girl freak dance together..... :)

I honestly do it for the great money we make.

If I was not making good money in this business I would find another business to be in. I'm a business man first and a DJ second.

Ahhh... Two honest men! :clap::clap::clap:

The money is nice but the egomaniac in me likes the accolades

I received this one tonight from last Saturday

Jeff,

We just wanted to drop a quick line to tell you how absolutely fantastic your performance was last Saturday. We were absolutely pleased with everything from the introduction to the end. Very professional. We are still getting compliments from our guests on the music. We would certainly not hesitate in recommending your service to anyone.

Thanks Again,

Dave & Steph

Well... there are many reasons.

We love music. We love playing music and seeing the audiences' positive reactions to it.

We love the anticipation of a good show on the drive to the venue.

We love to dress in our formal duds and hear clients tell us we are professional.

We love to thump the floor and smile when the cops are called by neighbors who don't like the music genre we happen to be playing at the time.

We love to see people dance and have a good time to the romantic slower songs that everyone knows.

I love to dance to a slow turn with a lady who has no date.

We love to pump it up and git down for some James Brown or Michael Jackson.

We love the smiles when we play a request. :)

We love to provide a headroom-heavy professional bi-amped or tri-amped FOH sound system and hear the sweet, warm tone that only a professional sound system can provide. You knew I was gonna say that, didn't ya? ;) From a former RS gear DJ, that means a lot.

We love the glowing reviews and positive references from satisfied clients.

At the end of an upscale show, we love to bow to the applause. It comes from the heart. :)

We love critiquing the shows in the wee hours at the local Dennys or diners afterwards. It ain't the best grub but we're used to it. And we're in good company. :D

Oh... and we love our paychecks. I almost forgot about that aspect. ;)

Thoughts?

I think for the most part, we all do it for the same reasons. There is something in our genetic make up that compells us to be the center of attention. We love the feeling that we were a big part in creating memories for people. We all have egos (to some degree or another) and we need to feed it. We love music. And for most of us, we love to get paid doing something that we love to do!

I certainly havent ever been accused of being Gregarious

Getting paid to do something fun sure helps.

Also I like to meet new people. I never really did before, I was never REALLY gregarious before I started DJing. Now I catch myself talking to complete strangers at the market, etc.
Perhaps one day
I will come out of my shell lol until then I ask all of you to be my shining outgoing shield.:sqwink:

I would have to say that this is also the way I feel and in the order that I feel it thanks Scott.
