Someone has a used Ross Systems 16x2 mixing board for sale for $150 in NJ on Craigslist. Have any of you heard of this mixing board and is it worth taking a chance on buying it for $150?
I asked this question because it's a big board I never heard of and the way it looks for $150 seems too good to be true. It's your money, Mix... waste it any way you want.
Thanks Steve and as usual you nail it again. No .. and .. no. A quick look shows it to be an older unit, so there is a high likelihood of fader noise and the possibility of caps needing replacement. A quick eBay look shows one selling for $87.
Mix you have a smart phone and computers can't you do this research yourself

I have several uses for a mixing board. I just never heard of Ross. Thething is it looked impressive for that price and features. I was skeptical about it and I'm glad I asked on here. So I will stay far away. Especially after seeing some being sold for less than that. The first thing you should ask yourself is. Do I have a need for this, or will it sit like my sixteen subs, and 12 mismatched tops. When/What would you use it for? Ross is not very high on the quality list. I see why you never have any money, the shit burns a hole in your pocket.

I'm just looking to get it down the line. I have gigs coming up that it will be used.U can afford a $250 mixing board... that as a dj you probably don't need... but couldn't afford a better quality microphone. This is getting better and better lol

OK .. I'll play .. what specific "features" do you need in a live sound mixer? How many channels, how many sends? Groups? Inserts? I assume you have that given the need. Lay it out and we'll find you a decent one.I'm just looking to get it down the line. I have gigs coming up that it will be used.
