I was looking through some old DJ things when I found my bills for advertising on Google ( my online bills from my bank )

My campaign is doing "OK"... not awesome by any means, but still very much worth it. In 2 months I will have had my CPC ads up for nearly 4 years. I'll give you some rough numbers.

Roughly 1 million "impressions".

approx 700 clicks at an average of 80 cents per click.... so about $560... approx $140 per year.

19 events booked. 12 of them were bubble parties at approx $200 each. The remaining 7 averaged out to approx $725 per event.

Now, remember, this is for 4 years, and it also includes events from when I was charging way less than I do these days.

So, $2400 in bubble parties. and about $5000 in "real parties". So, let's call it $7500 in business, for $560 in spending. I have no idea in real terms if that is good business or not, but Google ads do seem to be working much better for me lately. If the positive trend continues, I will be quite pleased.

So there ya have it.

I've got about $200 in my "account" and need to do something as I'm pretty sure that I've not had an ad pop up as of yet...(Guess I need to increase my "amounts"?) :dontknow:

Most likely you need to increase the cost you will pay per click.

I am sure you are correct.....:tricool:

I believe that I have my max set at $1 per click, but I know that some clicks have only been charged at 45 cents.

BTW, for those who knew Don McKay when he was alive, well he was from the Seattle area, and he once told me he was paying over $5 per click, but it was working for him.

A decent figure (in my experience), is about .11 percent of the value, as the maximum click amount. So, if yer selling an $850 gig -- 93 cents would be your max click amount.

If yer selling a $400 gig -- figure a max of about 44 cents.

Average should be much lower than the max -- usually less then half of the max. So, if yer following the math, if your average gig price is $400, your average CPC should be 22 cents or less.

YMMV :)

I started to invest in google adapted about 4 years ago. I don't even remember how it works. Enlighten me chap:)

I don't know what you mean here, Magno, but I just followed their instructions, and it has been on auto-pilot since then.

iPhone auto correction!!! Sometimes I wanna throw this phone... Lol. I was saying I started to use google ad words 4 years ago. I don't remember how it works anymore.

How do you know which of your clients found you by clicked on your ad? Did you ask? When I ask, they just say I found you online.

Yep, I always ask..... ad or native search.

So u have an EFT set up with them to withdraw $12 monthly for your acct?

Nope. it is based on a Cost Per Click basis... it just averages out to about $12 a month. Some months I have been billed 80 cents.

My average per month is about 10 dollars.

Just think what you'd be getting in gigs, if you actually spent more than a Mickey D's lunch per month. ;)

They get a few grand from me monthly. That's what drives my sales, since the internet is no longer a search based medium -- it's become an ad based medium, just like TV.

Concentrate on content based ads (images mostly), and they will show up in all sorts of places, like online bridal magazines, etc. Keep you max bid low, so you get the max impressions. Volume pays off... ;) :)
