I use the CD's to send the "tone" to Serato...can I use a usb stick instead? Don't want to mess with smudged CD's and think the amount of bass I produce during big shows is affecting the CD's performance. Thoughts?

Yep - rip the control tone - or download it - and drop it on the stick.

I know you are using serato, but the 3700's are naively supported by VDJ. Have you messed with that?
I haven't...LOVE the look and feel of beatmatching with Serato. Seems much tighter than when I do it with VDJ...just me.
