Here is a picture of what I used to carry to all my Wedding Receptions.

Hey! Are those Folded Horn Bass cabinets that you are using?

Your probably looking at 40,000 songs plus. Are you sure about your storage device?

Can't tell what size disc books those are, but 40,000 should fit in 4-5 600 disc books...? You carrying cassettes too?

Joe the 5 Black and Gray CD cases hold 400 CDs each in plastic sleeves.

One is for my Rock and Roll
One is for my Country
Ones is for my Soul
One holds my RPMs
One holds my Oldies
2 of the Black CD Zipper cases is for my Latin Music
The one elongated zipper case I call that my specialty Wedding CD holder
1 Zipper case holds my 1930s to the end of Big Band along with Enya and Michael Buble type artists.
1 Zipper case is for my Soundtracks , Blues, Italian Music . Jewish Music, Polka Cds and New Orleans type music.
1 Zipper case is for my Jazz music.
1 Zipper case is for all my CD Collections like Old School Vol, Bill Board, Art Laboe Series, Disco collection, Funk Collection, Super Hits of the 70s, New wave hits of the 80s and so on.

Are you a Mobile DJ or Mobile Radio Station?

I use a split Road Ready cd case that currently holds 17,000+ songs. I've made a number of compilations (leaving the masters at home), put them in cd sleeves and have them categorized in the case. My wife and I then created an Excel spreadsheet which now has turned into my request book. I can look up any song at a moments notice by type, title and artist. We've used this system for 5 years and it hasn't failed us yet.

Gotta give kudo's to you cd guys. I can't see ever hauling a ton of discs to a gig, then having to flip through, pull, cue up, put back for every tune.....

I'm actually in the process of going digital but the fact of having to rip music on to a hard drive makes me cringe. It took me years to put together my cd system. I'll still have my cds as a backup...just in case.

It depends on the mp3 quality. With the best compresion quality (320) I will need 2 of them and a lot of time.

In what configuration do you use them? As a subwoofer or in a 3 way active network?

At 192 kbps, you can do about 40-45,000 tracks on a clean 250 GB drive :)

Two little shirt pocket sized WD Passports, and you have roughly 100,000 songs.

Sure beats carrying all them cases... ;)

Either paired up with Cerwin Vega D 32s (Horn and tweeter and two 12 inch speakers along with the L36) or paired up with the Cerwin Vega V35 (Horn and tweeter and 15 inch speaker along with the L36)

I remember the process well! It took about two week because of my ADD. Glad I did it, though!

Used to carry my whole collection as back up, now just my NOW cds, and the Platinum Collection.
