If you black list the facility and the talent agent that books you for events asks you to DJ there will you say................. Sorry I Black Listed them? The question is directed at Houston.

Where did I say I blacklist anyone. I know how to deal with my objections thank you very much. I handle them before the day of the event. People don't pull that stuff on me. I can't answer your question because I do not Blacklist anyone...well yes....only spammers.
I'm not sure why you see a problem here - it's not like you're going to setup and stand behind this banner all day. The tacky banner is outside and you'll be inside doing a classy job with a client who knows who you are. You can introduce yourself to the crowd at the beginning and end of the event.
Ask yourself the pertinent questions: Does this really affect you in any way - I doubt it. Are you just jealous that someone else has that advertising out there? - probably. Does that banner actually get them much business? - probably not.

The only reason I brought it up is that I've never seen a specific "banner" displayed in front of a wedding venue for a vendor. Just thought it was a bit unusual.
Everyone's looking for ways to cut costs today .. same reason there are advertisements in church bulletins and such as well.
It just sounds tacky, really. Does this banner stay there the whole time guests are arriving? I certainly wouldn't book a venue whose entry was a series of billboards.
You might ask the venue how they reconcile all this signage with the very personalized nature of wedding events? Which program are they dedicated to - the bride or the commercials?
There are probably people who enter that Venue without even reading the Banners.. Does one read every sign, banner or billboard along the streets they travel? I am sure more than likely, they do not!
