Who would you hire from ODJT?

To many ads? Support ODJT and see no ads!
Number 1 Adrian a.k.a. Snoconeguy. What can I say? He's got it going on. He is truly one of the up and comers out there. That and his wife is really cool too!

Number 2 would be Cap. The knowledge that is in that head! Wow. He's also a great entertainer and very handsome, to boot!


Number 3: Dan Benoit. What else can I say? I trained him! LOL
 
How 'bout who you wouldn't hire?

I wouldn't hire Jon 'cause it would be so hard to get his big head into the venue.:sqlaugh: Just for you Jon, cause I don't usually use smilies.

I'd hire Cap. It'd be really fun to tell him, "You suck! No, you REALLY suck.".
Cap, I'm still laughing over that stupid story. That story makes it easier [for me] to accept the inevitable slights.

Rick, please accept my apology at making a joke in what is a serious thread. I don't really know who I'd pick. How many of us have seen each other in action? There are so many of you I'd be infinitely more comfortable picking here (from Halifax to Hawaii) than doing so in the yellow pages. Thanks for allowing me that afterthought.
 
Gosh... it's hard to choose. We've got some veteran pros who are regulars on this site.

I guess it would be a choice between Cap and Jon Tuck. Both are seasoned pros and class acts. Both know their music well. That's important when booking a DJ. :)
 
Quite funny as I was going to say Mr Capello and of course I would have to hear Freds Big system. I would love hearing everyone and even roadie for them especially those I have had the opps to talk to on the phone and met in Vegas. I have had the honor of hearing my good friend The Maestro even helped him with some gigs. The ultimate pro.
 
I can't say I would choose any of you guys....and here is why.


Everyone on here brings a cool approach to the dj world. You asked a very tough question.

I guess..hmmm...

I plead the 5th.

Some of you guys have bad ass setups, some of you guys have great personalities.

If I was going to hire one person, I would need to talk to everyone on the phone...one on one, and get to really know you.

This would start my elimination process.

I would then have to meet those qualifiers in person, to determine the final candidates. After that I would still have like 1000 people left to pick, so hmmmmm......

Whomever can give me an nice light show, with good music, and someone who can make me laugh throughout the course of the night would be my choice.

Is that you...or you..or you??

I was going to start listing some potentials...but that is quite a challenge.

My first choice would be Mr.Jon Tuck

I would need someone with a system that sounds as good, or better than mine,
And he won't shup his trap about the Dynacords.....:sqlaugh:

Second is a tie... Fred, or Val. I haven't met Fred yet, But his rig is very similar to mine....So, if i told him to shake the rafters, He'd just laugh...and twist a knob...

Val....I've been fortunate enough to work for her a few times now..

They could simply knock the building off the foundation!! I wouldn't hesitate
to send a show her way. They know how to get it done!!

Third...would be Ding and Dong...(JtNichols & Knardini) They are just cool guys, That look at things the way i do....:sqlaugh:
 
Them Kansas boys intrigue me as well! No matter Cap is the ambassador DJ and I will always come back to him hands down!

1. your too far away lol

2. havent seen you in action .....

and I wouldnt hire me either, after a friday night out with the boys....
 
My considerations:
Steve Sharp. I've really changed my impressions of him over the past few years enough to have quite a lot of respect.

Sparkie. I just have a hunch here.

I threw equipment out of the equation as I have a stereo if I don't like what they offer. I want the personality to 'bring it' without a lot of attitude.
 
1.) For a big show Val, just to see the big rig pull up and unload the monster system
2.) For a smaller classy setup, man it's a tie between Kevin and Cap.
 
A lot would depend on the event type, client mind-set, location, and a few other discerning factors, yet without any other details to work with, my gut says:

1) Jamie Simpson: personality, energy, diverse (from no-talk to in-your-face with equal ease and grace), logical, funny, and intelligent.

2) Mark Beecher : personality, energy, diverse, logical, wry wit, and intelligent.

In fairness, I've seen them both, at least partially, in action. This is in no way, shape, or form, a slight against any other dear friends whom I suspicion would be nothing short of outstanding. As DJ Dennis alluded to, forum presence may not totally relate to show biz attributes, so I'm sticking to what I've already personally seen.

That's Missouri Tuck!!! Jer lives across the tracks (I mean river) in Kansas :sqlaugh:

1st: Jer Nichol.....he is the most honest DJ - heck person - I know. He's great in the mix, is one with his lighting, and doesn't let his balding head get in the way of showing EVERYONE a good time...from weddings to proms :sqbiggrin:

2nd: Cap or Kevin - both are super professional every time I see their stuff. I think I could learn a lot from both.

3rd: Rick on the mic and Papa on the 1's and 2's!!! Can you imagine a party with these two at the controls!!!!
