Who would you hire from ODJT?

That was just an observation Joe, based on the people other folks picked :)

The ones picked the most, post a lot of setup pics here. A number use Bose speakers.

I think you can read into that a bit psychologically -- that people are impressed by those things. If many of their peers are impressed, the same could arguably be said for the general public...


When you mention WHO you would choose, all things you have ever seen from them, come into play (including their pics and equipment) -- and your brain paints a picture...
 
My first thought was Ron Auger because it would really piss him off to have to work for me. Then I really thought about it and I'm sticking with Ron because I know he will do a quality job.

Next was Fred. I've seen Fred's system (it is bigger than mine) and I really want to see what he can do with it.

But, I kept on thinking. Sorry Rick, multiple alternatives here.

Next on my list was Alphabet and Papa. I know Joe has the moves because I've seen them and Chuck is a great host.

Cap is on my list too. I've met this crazy son-of-a-gun in person and I've seen the videos. He can host my party any day.

Rick, you're on the list as well. If your on stage personality is anything like what you put forward on the board then that will be one hell of a party.

Thunder is there as well. I know Steve will give me my money's worth and more. I also think Mike (MBM) could work with Steve and give me one hell of a down home tag team.

Well, this has to end somewhere so I'll also pick that Hoosier (Daddy) DJ Rob. No particular reason here other than that I wanted to see Rob work.

I would not pick me... here's why:

There are a lot of folks on this board that are far more qualified than I am and to be honest I still have loads to learn.

If there were a short list of folks I'd hire from ODJT here's what it'd be (in no particular order):

Cap
MBM
Keith (HiredPower)
Jon (JTV)
Kevin Nichols
Joe
Thunder

And many more better qualified DJ/KJ hosts...

BTW, I'm somewhat surprised nobody mentioned my picks...

I picked them because not only do I like their sense of humor and confidence, but also, because we are all pretty much city folks, stuck in the burbs -- at least that is the picture my brain gives me, from talking/listening to the two.

So, my brain decided, that they would probably be the most compatible match for what I wanted to achieve...


I couldn't pick JohnTheOne or Joe, because they live too close to my "family", and they may be needed for other matters that day... :sqwink: :sqlaugh:
 
Dude...where do I start? If I had to pick one, well, knardini because I've seen him and he's VERY ambitious. He's paying attention to all the right people and I don't doubt his ability to SELL SELL SELL.

But the reality is, I want A BIG FAT PARTY so I'm gonna need some help.

Kirby is going regardless, he invited me to the board. He can shoot pics, really dirty ones, just keep reading.

I'm takin Fred, MBM, SVO, Brian, Patrick, Ron, Thunder for the ride to the gig. We've got a Dodge Ram 3500 Super Crew cab and the gig is JTVegas's party. We've got a long freakin drive and whole lot of conservative sh!t to talk about. Jeff Romard and any other Canuck that wants to ride is gonna get an earful. Its a big cab, a long ride, and the chat will be lively.

I want Cap, Chuck, and Kevin to be the ODJT Pretty boy Party Starters. Nuff Said.

Knardini is gonna bring the goods and Valerie will be there for support....like, big support.
Travis and Esoteric are runnin' lights. Fuzzy's got the blacklights in order.

Wavy and Dan are in charge of tech support and general awesomeness.

Hooters Swim team and Canadian women in fur coats will be there.

Then I want a serious spin show from Houston, Ruben, Hank, Vinyl, Stevie, Spark, Marco...and really anyone else from here.

Papa is going to host an after party and introduce a new game called "Drunken Bubble Challenge".....Meanwhile, SoftJock and I go out back for a few minutes.

Let's just say we're whippin up some brownies.

Unlimited Budget for entertainment???? I'd have the hotel torn down, burned and a new DJ friendly venue put up in it's place...

Room with perfect accoustics, a stage with a DJ only dressing room with AC and a shower and fridge.... a couch, bed and dimmers on the lights in the dressing room, with a Bliss 50 for those special "after the show" moments... a built in system that rocks that nobody else can use so it never gets messed up.....

and a Pizza Hut next door that only hires sexy delivery girls and makes a perfect Mai Tai....
 
Here are my picks.

I likes me some Steve Lynch to DJ my party!

The reason is simple - Ball Buster Extraordinaire. He's one of the most ambitious guys I know of - from this corner of the net.

NLFX Pro Ben would be the alternate. (not that Steve would need it) Just in case though, I could depend on Ben for back up equipment.
 
I'm picking Fred Wright because sound quality will be important to the success of my party and I know Fred will deliver.

My alternate is Hank. Although I have never met him we're both from just outside of Boston and our sense of humor seems to run in the same track. I expect that he'd make it an awesome party.

There is a large number of alternate alternates but I'm sticking by Rick's rules for now.

There's someone I forgot ~ Ed Price. :(

Ed's our mod in the Pub forum. Ed and I have worked a couple of shows together so I can vouch for his stage presence and experience. He's a class act. :)
