What's in a name.

Hey all, I'm getting gear, lights, and even gigs set up. But for the life of me I cannot think of a name to call the DJ company. Industrial Lights and Music was one suggestion made to me, but I feel a lawsuit coming on that one. Any suggestions.
 
My avatar is a Navy SEAL trident. Not exactly something I would associate with having fun.

My target audience is anyone and everyone who will pay me to play music. I have a couple middle school dances coming together. A couple teenage birthday parties, and one all day "beach party" sponsored by one the local towns.

I am located EXACTLY where Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri meet. There are more Tri-State/ Tri-County Companies in the area than you would care to imagine.

Another play on the Navy

Heck you could probably work the Top Gun movie logo into your own... instant recognition.


I kinda thought that's what the logo was.... I hadn't seen one up close even though I was in the Navy.
 
A fellow former squid, cool. Trust me most people don't even want to know what you have to do to see a trident up close and personal.

I think the Tri-State entertainment is taken. And there is a Top Gun gutter company that has the logo all over the sides of their panel vans already. Special Operations Audio crossed my mine, but if the took one look at my partner, well it just wouldn't be good.
 
I have to seriously question your logo. It honestly has nothing to do with any of the target markets you would go after being a DJ (weddings, schools, corporate). I could see it working if you were in a heavy military area, but even then it would be questionable.

My suggestion is to find a name you are comfortable with and then develop the logo around it, not the other way around.

I'll let him answer that for sure but I don't think the SEAL logo is his company logo just something he's proud of.....
 
while in Southern California I switched temporarily to AAA DJ Service
Anything, Anywhere, Anytime!! as my catch phrase.
 
The trident isn't my logo, it's just something that I used to do. I am now an Industrial Electrician.

Trust me the is nothing DJ esk about my name.

My ideas are so few it's not funny.

Digital DJ or DD entertainment

Quality productions

T & L Sound and Lights productions ( the first initials of mine and my partner names)

B & J Entertainment (last name initials) lose the & then I would just stay home and be entertained

Twilight Entertainment

Night Moves productions
