Hutchins, TX isn't far from Dallas. Dallas is only three hours away... not far enough south to suit me.[emoji1] When I move to Texas, I wanna move someplace MUCH warmer than Oklahoma City.[emoji4]

Just checked... It's 25 degrees in Hutchins, and 15 degrees here. Warmer for sure, but not so much you'd care if you had to go outside.[emoji4] However, I would have my EVOX 8 by now if I was there.[emoji4]

It's STILL there. Twelve hours later, and it's still in Hutchins, Texas. Granted, it's a holiday weekend, but it spent practically no time at all in Nashville on Sunday, and that was a holiday too.[emoji1] I think whoever is running the operation in Hutchins is an old retired dude who does it part time or whenever he feels like it.[emoji1] Taking bets on whether it even ships out of Hutchins today???[emoji1] If it ships to Oklahoma City today, I'll likely get it tomorrow, even though the estimated delivery still shows Thursday, Jan. 4.[emoji4]

18 degrees outside here. My wife has post nasal drip all weekend. Ewww...I hope I don't get it. She has not left the house since Friday. I'm getting the itch to get out of the house now and do literally anything, LOL ...even if it's walking around a store for no reason.
Tomorrow I'm back to the Gym. to get back to my 5 day a week routine exercise I have been accomplishing the last 6 weeks. ...Haven't been since Thursday. I did lose 7 lbs, but it looks like I gained 4 of them back in the last 4 days LOL.

My EVOX 8 is still in Hutchins, Texas [emoji1]... been there since 3:49am on Sunday. Someone made an entry at 3:50am today that it was "In Transit, Hutchins, Texas".[emoji1] I guess someone moved it out of the way of the door, or something, thus it was momentarily "In Transit".[emoji1]

OK... I get it now![emoji1] At 2:46 PM today, I got a tracking update that says my shipment (EVOX 8) "Arrived at FedEx location, Hutchins, TX". So it hasn't been IN Hutchins since Sunday, it has been IN TRANSIT to Hutchins![emoji1] Apparently the FedEx dudes in Nashville shipped it by covered wagon.[emoji1] At least NOW we're getting somewhere... maybe not here, but somewhere.[emoji1]

Heck, Cap might have even drove them to you in his 'New Country/Pop' with a cap - with a Cap pick-em-up truck.
Had they been Bose speakers, you would of had them days ago.
I'm sure you're right about that.[emoji1] I just checked and the EVOX 8 and cover (2 pieces) are at the FedEx location in Oklahoma City. They sat in Hutchins for about 6 hours, then took 9 hours to make the 3 hour journey to OKC.[emoji1] I love tracking, but sometimes it can make you crazy trying to figure out why shipments are routed the way they are.[emoji1] My luck, they'll try to deliver it while I'm out getting my hair cut. I've gone to this same stylist for more than 15 years, and I have an appointment (set day and time) every three weeks. Can't change it at this late date.[emoji4] Last time, they left the shipments on my porch when I was not home at the time they delivered. That's good and bad. Good, because I didn't have to reschedule the delivery. Bad because it could have been easily stolen. We'll see what happens today... they're not suppose to leave the package(s) without a signature.[emoji4]

LOL... Yes... I guess I am. There's a Barber Shop about two blocks from my house, but I drive 20 minutes to go to my hair stylist.[emoji1] I get the works there, though... shampoo, shave, mousturizer... [emoji1]I like being pampered.[emoji1] Oh, and I did get perms back in the 90's. I looked GOOD in a 'fro![emoji1]

Have you guys compared the Evox 8 vs the Evox 12?
I have not... I don't think there's anyplace in OKC where I could even listen to an EVOX 12. I bought the EVOX 8's based on size, weight, simplicity, reviews, and Steve149's video.[emoji1]

@Albatross has the EVOX 12 ... I've only heard them at the DJ Expo. As with Bobcat, the size (packability) of the EVOX 8 made them a better bet for me.
From the limited listening, they sounded similar. I think the 8s are good out to 150-200 people and the 12s are better beyond that. Similar to the Bose L1 1S vs II.
