In the real world of night clubs (not just bar rooms) you'd know that the #1 priority is beverage and hospitality sales - not the DJ's "show." You'd also know better than to make amateur comments about needing other DJs to "save the good stuff" for you.
I DO know that. And as I said, it has NOTHING to do with saving the "good stuff" for me, it has EVERYTHING to do with TIMING. Do not make me list my resume of clubs and MAJOR artists that I DJ'd and/or opened for. I am FAR from an
amateur when it comes to "night clubs", as I have played to houses, oh sorry... "night clubs"... of over 1800, and events of over 10,000. The "amateur" comments are coming from you, since you have obviously played in "night clubs" that do not have headline DJ's, IF you have ever played in a club AT ALL. If you did, you would know about saving the "good stuff" for when the DANCEFLOOR requires it. It has NOTHING to do with the headline DJ needing it, unless they are a no-talent chump and just a name, like a lot of the model-looking female DJ's out there. The headline DJ is the one who is the "star" so to speak, and he/she is SUPPOSED to play the big hits. Why be a headline DJ and play all kinds of unknown or unpopular stuff? Just to show that you CAN? Come on now.
Before you call
ME and amateur, please have more than a couple "night clubs" under your belt, and open for someone like DJ Clue, Funkmaster Flex, or DJ Skribble.
THEN you can tell me that you should play all the "good stuff" before THEY go on. Have fun trying to do that one. I am guessing you probably couldn't even GET that gig, the way that you are talking and the way your mentality towards opening for another DJ is. Any REAL club DJ who has ever opened for another DJ will know that this is Club DJ 101.
Amateur.... I am still cracking up at that one. "Real World" of night clubs.... hahahaha.... omg you are hilarious. Like you have any clue what the real world of a club DJ is. Please stop now, this debate is going to be pointless. It will be like me talking to a wall, since you
quite obviously have no idea what you are even talking about. It's almost like you just want the argument, in which case you picked the wrong person for the topic. Now please stick to arguing something you actually have experience doing, and pick one of those newb wannabe's with a laptop and two speakers.
