What is a Clean Look/Setup?

You are correct but they are not High end home audio. They are pro sound. I started out with those and more in 1978 and they are still in use, never been to the shop.

Here's my typical wedding set-up.
I like this one the best because I can see from the angle that this is the head of the dance floor. First and last pics would have been great if the mains were out farther.

You've got a nice setup but as far as the controller goes, what's with your affinity to the left side of the table? The Fung Shui seems off kilter when you could have it dead center and your CDs off to the left and right.
I do the same - mixer case is usually on the left. Personal preference. FYI - it doesn't look like there's enough room on that table to center th mixer with CD's on the left and right.

I dont because I even consider my setups not clean
remember we are basing this on our feelings on what a clean setup should be NOT what a clients feels are on what THEY think a clean setup really should be!!
So now Jon can you 100% say any setup out there is a clean setup!

you do a competition with people for a good/clean setup and some will have so many opinions you wont know what to do with

Makes perfect sense. [I do the same - (my) mixer case is usually on the left. (This is a) personal preference. FYI - it doesn't look like there's enough room on that table to center the rack with CD's on the left and right (because the CD's would then be hanging off the left and right sides of the table) (you suggested he put the rack in the middle with CD's on the left and right of the rack - there simply isn't enough room)].
It's personal preference. I've been known to center it on occasion.
Note: If both CD cases are currently on the table and so is my rack, and there is room for them all now, why would moving the rack to the center and moving one CD case where the rack used to be cause the table to shrink and no longer fit? That has me confused too.

He got you!! Right now everything fits on the table, right. Unless the CDs are in an all in one case, all he has to do is exchange places with the console and some of the CDs.
Anyway, it does not matter to me how he sets it up.

He didn't get me. I've been using picture #3 (with the white table cloth) for reference. At first that looked like one CD book opened up. I can't make the picture any bigger, so - looking at it with my eye on the screen, it looks like 2 books, closed - which would mean if he opened them and placed them one above the other, they would still take up the same amount of space, width wise - double the height. Moving the rack to the center of picture #3 (and having a book opened per side, would have the edges of the books hanging over the edges of the table.
Now what picture are you referencing?
Doesn't matter to me how he sets it up either - I typically setup the same way. Main mixer to the far left, laptop next - then music (if it will fit). If not, onto a back table (if applicable).
Both CD cases are on the table, side by side, closed - correct? When opened, they open like a book, correct? If so, then there is not enough room with one case opened on each side in pic #3. If you look at it now, the cases side by side (closed) take up almost half the table (it's almost to the center point of the sub).

non members setups are not to be linked as it is not the way this site has in the past nor in the future wants to associate itself to. Thanks for those who have noted the way we have always done things here. We simply will not allow grading one who has no way to respond or answer having no connection to the site. Simply one sided viewpoint without repply is not what this site has ever been about. Take one to task but be certain there are two sides to every story. Take that to the bank. Clean setups count most and determined by a satisfied customer and not a DJ across the country. Balance? Cleanliness? Whatever it only matters if one continues to bring in revenue and success. We are only providers and we all attempt hopefully to satisfiy our customers to the fullest and beyond anyone elses opinion is pure BS.
