I got a lead from Wedplan for a wedding next year. Their budget was for $1,250.00-$1,500.00. On there the most i see on there lately are brides looking to pay $500.00-$750.00.
So now i'm thinking for that kind of money they aren't going to be looking for a DJ to just play music but someone that can provide more. Now since i joined the New Jersey Disc Jockey Network the president who built our site said we can provide those things that are on our site. How we can do that for clients is through other DJs that belong to NJDJN. So if they want say video then we can provide that for them through one of the DJs there. Very nice to know all of this. I would love to get to that level where we can provide video and uplighting ourselves. We're not there yet. So just keep up with the network.
Now my question is how would you have answered this question in an email? I sent them an email yesterday trying to direct them to look at the site so they can see what we have to offer and choose what they would like us to provide. Depending on what they would like us to provide, we then would look to see what they want and fit that into their budget.
I didn't leave alternate way for them to contact me as they can find that out by going to the site. Do you think i should have added my phone number to the email or just let them go to our site?
I try my best to keep emails short and to the point. Especially since the site is finally up and running. In other words let the site do the talking and if they like it then they will contact me. What are your thoughts on me doing it that way?
