Heres some Pics of my modest set up. I do strive to someday scale it down and upgrade my lights and move to smaller speakers and a sub maybe, but for now, it is what it is, as long I can get the crowd rocking and the clients happy, thats all that matters. I usually have 4 Par 38's on top, but last minute the client calls me and asks about uplighting the cake. Good thing she called early. I dont have any uplights at the moment but I do remember seeing someone use stainless steel bowls for bases , so off to WalMart I go and get some cake pans and drill holes and make some last minute stands, which actually turned out well. She only needed 2 but it would have looked stupid if I only had 2 Pars on the light stand so I just put the Colorstrip for backup. When the client asked me over the Phone "How Much Extra" , I told her we'll talk about it later. At the end of the night she, she handed me a check( I already received final payment the week before BTW) and asked if this was OK for the uplight hassles. I looked at it and it was more than enough plus a nice Tip guess,. I just smiled and said yes. It just reaffirmed my belief that if you go the extra mile and give it your all, everything works out somehow.

Paint that thing black, add 2 wholes for the cords, and I think it would be awesome! ( One hole in the top to drop the cord down, and one in the side to let the cord out to the outlets )

Papa, how would you fill the hole so you did not have a huge hole for the plug going through it?

I am not thinking the hole is that big.... and probably would not fill it at all.

Will you be finishing off the stands in black?

If I get a request next time or if I could upsell it as an option I will. This was last minute so I didnt really have time to paint it .

My only suggestion is to have the gobo face the crowd. As it is, it's upside down to them.
:sqlaugh: Never thought of it that way. I have always had it facing me when its stationary so I can read it. But I do have it on Rotation during the couples first dance. Its pretty cool as it moves almost at the same speed as the mirror ball.

What kind of speakers are those... look big, but impressive....

Dual 15" Kustom , bought it for the box basically. Both of them have been replacedwith Eminence Drivers on the bottoms, Then Im going to throw in some Seleniums on the horn. I'll be replacing these with some single 15" cabs and a sub soon, these things cant be doing any good to my back.

Someday I hope to have a set up like Kevin Nichols, clean and classy. His setups are always nice. They always have that WOW factor. So for now, Im just trying to have it as clean as possible.
