I played around with the beta, and it was nice, but didnt wow me enough to want to switch to it.I am very surprised that no one uses DJay Pro. Ultra stable and amazing features. Both Mac & PC versions.

I have to mirror this too though, while it was nice when it was working, it was far from stable.Amazing features? Like what? I did try to use the Windows Test developement version, but couldn't - it was the exact opposite of "ultra stable".
It's been out for three years, since the beta.I played around with the beta, and it was nice, but didnt wow me enough to want to switch to it.
I think he meant the Windows Beta, which is more recent. It's been out for three years, since the beta.
It's all I use.
Well, I have no issues with Macs .. except price .. when they get a decent machine under $1500 I might give it a whirl.

How I feel to about them as well, they are on the pricey side, well, I take that back, I do have issues , mostly with the removing of ports forcing people to get their f****** dongles if they want to have more than one device plugged in at a time.Well, I have no issues with Macs .. except price .. when they get a decent machine under $1500 I might give it a whirl.
I don't understand this statement. You don't have to buy something from apple to have more usb ports. Current laptop offerings from Dell and others are limited on what ports you have available, just the same as Mac.... mostly with the removing of ports forcing people to get their f****** dongles if they want to have more than one device plugged in at a time.
The current MB's 13's vary between 2 and 4 Thunderbolt ports, the 15's come with 4 Thunderbolt ports, and thats it, no headphone jack, no SD card reader, no HDMI out, no Ethernet ports, no USB ports,( duh, they are Apple, and dont use USB ) so FOR ME, I would have to get dongles to use a MB Pro , I currently have in use, the headphone jack, the SD card reader, the Ethernet Port and one USB port for my wireless mouse.I don't understand this statement. I was wrong, yes, there is a headphone jack, I assume that circle port was the charger port( PC thing, and silly me forgot that Apple used the Thunderbolt for charging). If were to of looked at the link below, I would of seen that they do come headphone jacks, but looked at the listing page and it only has the Thunder ports listed. I will admit, I was not 100% up to date on Thunderbolt/USB-C and that TB can be used in USB-C ports. I for the most part failed on my port rant, I will lower my head in shame now.Apple uses usb the same as anyone else does. Looking at the specs for a new MBP, 13" .. you can get one with or without the touchbar. They have a built in headphone jack. They come with 2 OR 4 Thunderbolt (USB-C) ports. (3 or 5 ports total). There is no sd card reader. You can get an aftermarket usb-c hub from anywhere for the items you're looking for such as on amazon:

People want smaller and lighter devices, so Apple is building what the market is asking for. Kind of hard to put everything into something and have it small and light. Similarly, 'Windows' machines also ship with USB-C ports and many are also slimming the options down - because people want small and light. The new Dell XPS (performance line) 13" comes with 2 USB ports (one on each side), 1 sd card slot, 1 Thunderbolt (USB-C) slot and a headphone jack. 5 ports total. No ethernet, no video. Want more, you'll need to buy a hub. The new Lenovo Thinkpad X1 14" comes with 2 USB (one on each side), 2 Thunderbolt (USB-C), 1 headphone jack and 1 SD card slot. No ethernet, no video. Want more, you'll need a hub.
USB-C ports can be used for charging, hubs, video and other.

I will you give a A for Effort, or should that be a "E", anyways, I will stick with PC and having more port options than what Apple feels like we should have, I am still pretty pissed off I dont have a dedicated mic jack on my laptop, but I suppose I could get a USB adapter ( I never really used the mic jack that much, I have no real reason to be pissed about it, and really I am not, it just makes for good posting) But in 100% honesty, the lack of SD card slot and Ethernet are a deal breaker , so no Mac's for me, but see below for the "But"
I am with Steve here, I dont want small and light, I want slightly larger and heavier that is full of goodness. My old laptop was 15, my new one is 15 and that is the perfect size for me, when I was in between laptops for that week, I borrowed my moms, she has a 17incher, and that was just too big, but probably because I was so use to a 15 incher.
Now for the "But", if I were to use a MB Pro for the sole purpose of DJ'ing, I would have no issues using a MB Pro and have gone as far as to even considering thinking about maybe one day considering it.
I DJ with 17" laptops, mainly so I can run large fonts in my DJ software and not have to wear reading glasses - basically, (try) to look less like an ol' geezer!..
What Steve said is what I meant, thank you Steve.
