DMX Sushi DMX - Light rider

I have a Sushi - I wonder if mine will work with it. Considering mine is USB, I think I would rather have a decent desktop application to use it with - but I've seen none that are reasonable for what the Sushi is.

The key is evidently using the CORRECT cable.
Just had the DMXSOFT guys synchronize my Sushi....
and it worked fine attached to the laptop (via USB)

But the tablet did NOT recognize the Sushi using either of my two patch cords.
I bought a micro to mini (direct from tablet to Sushi) AND a SUB female to micro (to use their USB to the tablet)

Neither of them lit up the LED's on my tablet.
DMXSOFT guy said it could be the tablet...but is probably the cables.
And YES, I did buy cables marked as OTG.
(although product descriptions have lied in the past)

It was the iPad app ... apparently it checks the serial number of the unit, then allowed it to work if the serial number was in the expected range (to limit clones). They seem to have forgotten to update those numbers when they released the new units and the new ones are out of the range allowed. The update was supposed to fix it, I would think a simple fix, but they can't seem to get it out the door.
Why would this be hard coded into the app and not a server side range of serial numbers? Obviously it phones home at some point. Doesn't it make more sense to have a list server side and to activate the app at first run instead of worrying bout Apple approving such a trivial update. Is that against Apple dev agreement... Am I missing something?

No idea why it was coded in the app, but you can run it without hitting the server, so maybe it was just pragmatic. I have to think there was something else added to the ADJ version that brought out the alarms at Apple.

Just got my I-rig set up and reprogrammed all my light presets to be set to sound active....it works like a charm....

i realized at my last gig that i was trying to manually tap in the bpm and the unit wasnt responding too well...id tap and tap and tap and normally only get it within 10 bpms of what was playing....

So this is going to make it much easier

i-rig worked so good at my gig last weekend... i sent a 1/4 inch cable from the "phones out" on my yamaha mixer.... this allows me to add or remove volume to the irig with a quick turn of the monitor out volume knob...it was so handy to set in the ballpark and then tweak it a bit if the lights reaction seemed to get a little fast or slow

when u hit that sweet spot tho... its perfect sound active....

Hi...I was getting an "Interface not detected" with my Sushi DS interface/DVC2 and read somewhere that DVC3 had newer drivers, so I installed that.
Now I am getting "Error [XHL] Dongle limitation does not allow you to use this resource" as well as "Interface not detected"

circuit boards assembly

Getting it with what software? All the SUT (software upgradeable) devices from Nicolaudie (including the Sushi) are licensed for each application. If you download the hardware manager on the PC or Mac and connect the sushi (also need to download the USB driver), it will show you which licenses are pre-loaded. An out of the box Sushi has some of the basic app licenses pre-loaded and you have to upgrade for some of the others.

These are included .. other version require license purchase ..
