I don't recall seeing the fogger, but then again, I wasn't looking at foggers either. If you're into facades, that one didn't look too bad in person.

According to the Name on the Retailer's Page the Fogger is made by Omnisistem but I can't find it on their website. I can only find the vertical one. http://omnisistem.com/products/pyrofog/

maybe the moving head fogger is discontinued?
 
Still waiting to see that new Martin Crowd Scanner.
 
Can't tell if that is an actual facade,
or just a flexible LED blanket that hangs in front of a facade.
If you could roll it up and transport it, that would be a great idea.

To answer your question, it was some sort of fabric that can be rolled up and then put back over a frame to create the facade.

Quality goes to Omnisistem hands down. Their gear is more rugged and really designed to take some abuse (if you do that sort of stuff to your gear). Price, American DJ and Chauvet are cheaper, but in this case you do get what you pay for, let me explain.

We bought a RetroScan G Pro from Omnisistem, which goes for about $399 and American DJ has a Quad Scan which goes for $299. Both are similiar led effects lights in that they have 4 leds and 4 moving mirrors, but that's where it ends. Omnisistem's housing is more solid, they offer RGBW leds as opposed to RGB; the leds themselves are 12 watts as opposed to 3 watts.

We got to talk to the owner and his thoughts went along the lines of no matter how many products you sell, design and build them right the first time so the only reason the customer has to buy a second one is because they liked the first one so much they want two of them.

Mike, we just got back from a bridal show where we used our new RetroScan G Pro from Omnisistem. The designs the gobos made were visible on the far wall, about 95 feet away, the ceiling, about 30 feet tall at the peak, with all of the flourscent lights on.

Congrats on choosing a nice light like that. It is like having 4 Scanners in one unit at a damn good price, less than $100.00 per scanner.
What is the big difference between the RetroScan and the RetroScan Pro?
Secondly, when you were at the Omnisistem Booth, did you happen to see this one demonstrated? http://omnisistem.com/products/lume-g6/

It looks like the RetroScan uses individual RGBA leds producing dots. Also, it has lower powered leds. The Retroscan Pro uses quad leds (RGBW). My understanding is this one is more of a dot pattern as well, but at a higher power. The RetroScan G Pro adds the ability to do gobos, thus removing the dots, which is why we like it.

Yup, they had one of those Lume G6's on display. It was the other light we were considering, nice and bright, using the gobos, no dots. It did kind of keep things more in a linear pattern as opposed to moving the patterns all over the room like the RetroScan.

Thanks for the review. When looking at the Video I did see that linear pattern projection. Yep, like you, I would much prefer the scattered and random projection.
