stops the signal from reflecting back into the line and causing weird issues.

Many articles online about it if you google ;-)

UPDATE: Terminator didn't solve the problem:( They KEEP making clicking noises and changing the color gobo only:(

When you say "they", did I understand you correctly earlier that it was only one MX4 that was doing it? Did you try addressing 2 fixtures the same to see if they both had the problem? I think it's probably more likely that it's a failure with the fixture itself, but this could help identify that.

Something else to try, use a different DMX controller if you have one and address the MX4 to "1" and see if the problem persists. If it does, then it is the fixture.

If that doesn't work, maybe send me your ShowXpress backup file and I'll see if I can see anything anomalous in it.

Ben, both MX4s were doing it but it seemed as if one more than the other... Now they are both doing it more. For awhile when I first cut on everything one changed and then changed back and they were fine as far as colors are concerned but they kept making a clicking noise when switching colors/gobos. The shape never changes only the color.

I will try to do as you suggested. I currently have my ADJ strips on channel 1.

I created a simple 4 step :)05 seconds each) with changing colors and shapes for each gobo, that's when it seems to go crazy. Other than when I first boot up the scanners they make loud clicking noises and go nuts before booting up Showxpress.

Ben, I emailed the scene for the MX4s that keeps giving me problems.

So I moved everything over to my 15.4" laptop and am now able to see the levels in editor mode that you were referring to!!! WOW!!! What a HUGE difference it makes!

I am unable to duplicate your problem either in DMX or in 3D. Is one of the scenes in the backup you sent me the culprit? If so, can you tell me which scene I should load to see the problem you have?

Ben

Thanks Ben...

Just thought about the fact that I actually met you during the mobile beat tour in Dallas at the Pegasus Ballroom downtown:tricool:

It should be one of the "test" files.:triconfused:

Well done Ben:triwink: what's your recommendation? I have a local retailer that I can take the light to. I guess I'll take it there tomorrow. I may go ahead and sell them and get the new chauvet scan led 300s that came out this year:triconfused:

As for quad phases I will call today/tomorrow.

Thanks again!

I guess I don't really have a recommendation at this point... other than to take the lights to them and see if they can identify anything that I can't. I'm working in the "virtual" realm, and my guess is that this is a "real world" problem since I can't duplicate it virtually.

We do have a pretty good price on the new Scan LED 300s if you decide to go that route. ;)
