I took my laptop into the local shop to have more memory added. They screwed everything up and lost all my settings.

I'm not trying to set up my laptop to show pictures in a slideshow through a projector. I want to have only the pictures showing on the big screen. I've change to dual monitors in properties (right click on desktop) but no luck.

The program they added was NVIDIA.

In the graphics properties do both outputs (Laptop & Projector or Flatscreen) show up?

NVIDIA is not a program, it's a video card. Memory are the little catridges that snap in the bottom compartment of your laptop.

You can't use dual monitors unless you have a card with two outputs or unless you have two video cards. The only thing you can do is extend the desktop to a second monitor or TV. If you are connecting a projector, you have to choose the projector as the extended desktop. Then you drag whatever program you are showing the slides with over to it.

Still confused? Try this.
