Serato DJ help needed

I didn't need a pocket protector. My sport coat had pockets, and under that I wore a sweater vest, because it was so f'ing cold in the main frame rooms.

I'm sitting here laughing my ass off at some of the memories this has brought back. There was so much air moving under some of the raised floors that you actually had to put on goggles before you grabbed the floor tile puller!

Young people have no concept of this - the computer today is an appliance with huge (almost unlimited) capacity and no moving parts. 5TB SSD? Truly amazing for someone who worked on computers more like a Keith Black 396 Hemi!

What, somebody still running a Wang Word Processor? That's crazy - they should move up to something more "modern" like a 5 1/4" floppy.

I'll tell you some cool (literally) stuff. Gruman Corp up on Long Island was running a Cray - the DOD allowed them to have it while they were developing the F-14 & F-14D. The Navy made Gruman build another computer room located 20 miles away, with another Cray, in case the first site (which was closer to New York City) got nuked. The Cold War was serious back then!
