You take your ass to the thrift shops, record stores, estate sales, wholesale lots of cd's on E-bay...Craigslist, rummage sales, etc etc...
You have to put in the time to have a really killer collection.
Obtaining a legitimate library through legitimate means, which includes inheritance, purchases, in Canada there are leasing options, are not the result of luxury.

You wanna discuss the underlying implication in that pitifully thin attempt to defend stealing? Can you justify why anyone, but specifically why I should feel threatened with disciplinary action if I fail to bite my tongue for the sake of harmony with this post?

In the fact the only reason why I caught your post to me is because it showed up in my new posts search. If this is an attempt to bait me into a public beating over my head on how you feel ODJT should be run. It isn't going to happen. We've had those discussions privately and will continue to do so if you like but this certainly isn't the spot of for it.
I've never once asked you to give up your opinion. The only thing I've ever asked of you is that you play nice with others all that and entails is that you not being so crass with others. Pretty much everyone here deliverers their opinion without making others feel 2" tall; I don't see how it's a problem for some. We have debated both of our opinions/points privately but that's about it.

. The question was an honest one seeking an answer from you and is why I addressed it such. I want to know why I should feel there might be, as we can readily admit there has been in the past, disciplinary action when dealing with, addressing, and replying to such obvious illigitimacy?

I see several people using pirated music all time, on this forum. The Youtube videos everyone uses on here are not all sanctioned are they?

So, am I to understand, that despite your real opinion, you to temper your compassion and dilute the truth of your ethic in order to avoid hurting the feelings of individuals that you know are stealing.

It's not really their feelings I'm worried about or anybody elses feelings for that matter. The crux of the whole no baiting, bashing, and other anti-social behavior rules is that not only does it make people feel unwelcome it's more a problem that negativity spreads and winds up infecting the whole forum like a disease.
Thanks and I might add perhaps and of course this could be a stretch but perhaps those who dont follow proper decorum might be enticed to follow such if shown their errant ways and or realize that they could too improve and become legit like many who have crossed this ODJT path over the years.
I have seen legitimacy abound from those willing to learn and adjust their business model going towards proper success right here on this lowly site. So yes I say assisting even thieves or whatever non desired individual crossing the doorway here might make a difference if handled in a more pleasant approach.

Through my experiences in combat I figured out that you really shouldn't sweat the small stuff. You should spend more time and energy on things that are truly important to you and your family and not waste it on frivelous pursuits.
Do I think pirating is wrong, yes.
Is it my job to crusade around and protect the interests of the record labels? Will they give me free music if I get someone to stop pirating? Will they give any recognition at all? Will they make the music cheaper? Will stopping pirating make me a better DJ? Will stopping pirating make me more money as a DJ?
I believe that answer to all the above is NO!!
So why should I waste my time and energy ranting and raving about it?
Let me ask you this Rox, if you seen someone shoplifting what would you do?
a. nothing
b. Say something to them, tell them to put it back.
c. Tackle them and subdue them until athorities arrive.
d. Say something to the store manager.
Because I believe, respect, and raise my daughters to embrace the philosophy and ethic intrinsic in the quote attributed to Edmund Burke, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
