I just got one..... now I can't even imagine from the Bride and Groom's side, why in God's name they need to have a DJ, or even DJ info this early.

I do know, that SOME of you would book this if it was offered to you. But I wouldn't. Then again, I'm not a FT DJ.

BTW, it was only a request for info, so no big deal. I just found it rather "interesting", I guess.

Shoot I've been getting inquiries for 2012... your brides are obviously procrastinators. :sqwink:

we've got two weddings booked on 10/10/10 but this is warranted because of the date. When we book out that far initial payments are non-refundable

mmm 2010 - 2011 - 2012 and its only 2008/9 so thats not as bad as it seems

I just got my first quote request for 2010, they don't even know what venue or even city yet? I adjusted my basic rate for 2 years and sent a quote for 4 hours in town.

I can understand booking that far out if you are trying to get a certain venue or DJ on a "special" date, but not even knowing the venue yet, or really even the city seems strange. Maybe this is someone that was at a recent reception and really wants me, who knows. The phone number provided is from the New Orleans area. But they do say the reception is in North Alabama. I definitely take a retainer if they are ready to book.

maybe they want to change the paradigm and actually book the most important part first, the dj
