Been a while, thought I'd chime in on a new purchase and compare it against competitors. Let's talk battery-powered speakers. I've owned the Bose S1 Pro. It's a good unit, no iOS app. I used one for ceremonies and cocktail hours for several years. Very solid choice although a bit weak. Next up, EV Everse 8. Much stronger than the S1 and it has a good iOS mixer app. I've used it for a few years on ceremonies. Very good choice and in my opinion, it destroys the Bose. Next up, the EV Everse 12. I didn't buy this, but tried it out in Guitar Center. My opinion, kinda tubby sounding and can't say that it's any stronger than the Everse 8. The cabinet is twice as big as the Everse 8, to the point it's too bulky to tote around easily. I passed on this purchase. Finally, is the QSC CB 10. I haven't had this out on gigs yet but after the GC demo and after having this at my home for a month, this thing is a BEAST. Clean, clear and powerful. One thing I like over the Everse, this one has 3 volume knobs on the back, in addition to the iOS app which is also very good. The one negative, the QSC app does not have compression on the channels (like the Everse). Not a huge deal but I've come to really like the compression on the Everse. The box is only slightly larger than the Everse 8 but it has a lot more bottom end that's clean, clear and powerful. I wouldn't try to do a full-sized gig with it but for say a backyard birthday party yes, this would be perfect. All of the units mentioned above have excellent battery life.

I've posted that I own these elsewhere, but I'm a fan of the EV. The onboard power that can run a wireless receiver is a huge value add for me. Being able to pop a wireless receiver on this makes it a perfect candidate for my typical use case.

The speaker itself sounds a touch flat to me versus other things that have more high end clarity. But unless you're AB testing them against another speaker a casual listener isn't going to pick that out. And these are commonly being used for cocktails where the featured activity is conversation - not the music itself.

I have a CB10. I use it a lot. It is my new go-to speaker for charity events. I find that its mixer DSP is very basic compared to my under-powered JBL EON Compacts. The EONs also have USB outputs to support phone charging or power for wireless receivers. I have given my feedback directly to the CB10 designer (we have done a few technical presentations together). Another beef I have is that QSC hasn't made a bag for the CB10. Instead they have a 5-sided cover. I returned that and now use a K-10 bag. This is oversized for the CB10 so I use the extra space for cables and other stuff.

Everse 8 is a great add. As Albatross mentioned, a bit flat but does what it's supposed to do. I'm looking to grab the new Shure SLXD+ Dual Half Rack to be able to run two microphones off of it. The iOS app come in money for playing music, muting mics, having a quick setup and breakdown, and not needing power or portable power station.
 
Keeping my Bose S1 Pros in use until they die. I will see how long they can truly last! LOL

I have a Rockville Titan One Pro which is a solid speaker with very long battery life. For $219.95 it's a great deal. I also have a pair of Monoprice brand Stage Right D1 speakers they do not make any more. They are about 75% as loud as the S1 Pro speakers, and the lightest speakers I have. I routinely let my sister borrow/rent them for weddings since she refuses to buy her own battery powered speakers. She spends so much money in fuel to drive to my house back and fourth to borrow these speakers from me from time to time. I told her it makes total since just to buy a single speaker for herself, but she doesn't/has not done it.

I will probably buy another Titan One Pro so I have a pair of them at some point. There has been weddings where I needed 3 battery powered speakers so I'm not tearing a speaker/stand down from ceremony and walking 250+ feet to a cocktail area just to quickly set up another speaker. The Titan One Pro works great for cocktail hour music. Better bass than the S1 Pro, and sounds more tame/moderate at high volumes compared to the screaming brightness of the S1 pro at high volume.

Other than my Bose, I have an Onn 12 inch speaker I got at Walmart it doesn’t have much for inputs but it’s sounds good I actually built a completely battery powered ceremony system that I have used with it a couple of times, battery powered mixer battery powered mics and receiver music through Bluetooth, I’ve let some people who didn’t have much money use it for a ceremony system, it was fun to build and works pretty good

Using it mainly for ceremonies it will outlast you I would think
