One suggestion for the future. Photograph what you're shipping for before and after purposes. Down here Chauvet has been very good to me including the free repair of two light bought in the US and they were out of the warranty time frame. They should work with you and solve the problem.

Crap... I have a Slimpar 64 in for repair so I don't like this thread! The bottom horizontal line of LED's in the display wasn't working so a U would look like I I, an L would look like I, an 8 would look like an R, type of thing... It worked fine otherwise. My other 16 units are fine.

Steve, I'm just hoping that ours was a careless fluke from a tech. The issue we sent it in for was repaired quite nicely. It was just this other added stuff.

It sounds like they may have sent back the wrong light. Are you sure that fixture is yours? I'm not defending their product/service, just saying that sounds like an unusual amount of damage.

Wade, good thoughts and the first thing I did when I unpacked it was check the serial numbers and it was our light.

Anna/Jon, we have numerous Chauvet products, with no major problems. However when we sent something in for repairs years ago, it was like sending into a black hole. I'll buy some of their products but would think twice about ever sending something in for repairs to them. YMMV

I own the Original 4 Bar..the Original 4 Play and the 6 Spot...I was considering upgrading to the 4 Bar Tri before the end of the year but now I am having second thoughts...Not sure how much of an upgrade the Tri is anyways but for now I am going to wait awhile...For someone who can't deal with trusses and heavier fixtures, these lights offer a pretty decent show with a quick and relatively painless setup...But again I may just keep the 4 Bar and forego the Tri...At least for now.

We absolutely love the 4Bar Tri and when we were looking at purchasing one, we felt the specs, tri leds and especially the looks of it made it a better purchase.

We also have to remember that some social misfit sometimes works at the shipping companies and they have a blast throwing packages marked fragile because they're assholes. I hope Chauvet works things out.

I spent some time in a UPS hub training for a job there (which I never got...weird I know), "Fragile" really means very little. NOT because the people handling the packages are "social misfits"...simply because of the shear volume. The boxes don't stop! Think of that I Love Lucy episode with the candy. Don't get me wrong, packages are not being thrown either, however I saw little difference in how packages were handled.

I just wanted everyone to know that we, at Chauvet, take this issue very seriously, and continue to strive toward total customer satisfaction.

I have spoken with our customer service team, and they have been working to resolve the original issues presented in this thread.

I have been told that there is a dedicated support person who has been in contact regarding this issue, and I will make sure it is followed up on, and we have been able to resolve the issues for you.

Being a value company, we have to walk a fine line of providing innovative and consistent gear, and providing extra value, like throwing in FREE cases, etc.

If there are any other issues, please let me know, via my business email: [email protected]

Best Regards,

Jamey Brock

No, Karl did not send me....I have been lurking in the shadows, watching, for some time....I started in this business, as a mobile DJ, and have always felt at home discussing the needs of the mobile professional community (and resident jocks, as well)

I am happy to share an opinion or offer advice, as needed or requested.

Hi everyone, we just got back from a week in Massachusetts and am very happy to report that there is a replacement fixture at our house. Now as soon as I get home from work I'll unbox it and make sure it works and then follow up with Chauvet's Customer and Tech service.
