Where do you get off thinking that help is a perpetual requirement and that I must learn to love Ots?

Lol, how did you got that I was suggesting that you must learn to love ots?

You can... believe it or not the Ots format isn't really a format at all... it's a container file like Zip... just use Ots Studio and convert back to mp3... btw the conversion isn't really a conversion... all you are really doing is taking the mp3 out of the Ots container.... you will have to spend time tag correcting. But, it can be done... and then you can ditch OtsAV and leave it to those that are more capible of using it.

You're assuming too much.

I have over 7 years of experience with Ots.
I have over 7 years of experience with other DJ software including Serato, VDJ, PCDJ, CDJP and various others.
I work on more than my own equipment, and own multiple setups, so I am not bound to a single system or software.
I already have original CDs, MP3, VOB, MPEG, and Ots versions of my music collection ready for use on a variety of systems.
I've had plenty of time to try Ots on different machines and with multiple drivers, etc.
I've had plenty of time to see how the company develops and supports the program.

It serves no purpose now to keep an Ots version of the music library because the other progams are more versatile than Ots.
In hind sight, creating an Ots version was a waste of time. I have not encountered any club or system anywhere that uses or is even aware of Ots.

Right here:

If you are truly looking for a solution, there are many advanced OTS video users that will help you. But I just don't get the sense that you are asking for help or trying to find a solution. You seem more interested in convincing others that they too will be having this issue with OTS. How many other users have you ran into with the same issue?

The fact that I recommend NEW users stay away from Ots and take advantage of the many BETTER programs out there has nothing to do with changing your mind. I simply don't agree with your assessment of the program and have not yet encountered even a single full time career DJ who does.

OtsAv was a good idea - otherwise I wouldn't have kept it alive among my tools for so long. But like many good ideas in the hi-tech world this one ends up on the side of the road for "falure to launch." I'm sure it works great in the unattended media room at the mall after hours and days spent searching for compatible drivers and video cards. It doesn't have what it takes to be in a DJ booth. The ridiculous lag time between improvements combined with the headaches of trying to make it function reliably aren't worth the missing features and performance.

topic and issues are just making Nick at Night reruns look attractive compared to a thread that pretty much repeats itself since 2009.
