One Of The Reasons That Led Me To Do What I Do

Dan.....................You know me as well as you know anyone that you haven't met before.

Have you met everyone on this community?

To what degree do you want to know them?
Actually I know a lot of people here quite a bit better than you. I know where they're from, if they have kids, are married, etc. It's just the natural flow of getting to know people in a community. I don't know one of my neighbors other than to say hello to her but I know she has kids and works in a supermarket. Not because I'm stalking the girl (lol) but because I cannot help but see her comings and goings. Same difference here at ODJT someone posts about their kids school, you know they have kids. That's just how it is. Most people aren't in the DJ protection program nor afraid to show themselves.

Let's be truthful I only know your real name and where you live because it was outted publically a while back. It makes me take what you have to say a whole lot less serious than someone like Canute because he's a person I can say Oh yeah he lives in Texas, hangs pictures on the side, cooks waterlessly, and loves hot peppers. That doesn't make what he has to say any more valid just more likely to be taken more seriously.

As someone in radio I will give Jo Jo Kincaid credit. He was very good at what he did. With this being said he is PUUUKING! Hey everybody, playin the stacks of wax, the platters that matter! I'd rather hear someone with personality who doesn't sound like they're on meth...lol

I will say this one time and one time only - Cesar, you're wearing your welcome out with me very quick. Don't push my buttons, or I will push back - hard. I still retain my Sheriff badge here and I'm not afraid to use it. I also don't appreciate my thread being derailed. This was about radio jocks and stations that made a difference on air. Somewhere in the T.O.S. there's a clause about not derailing threads. This is a perfect example.

Apparently Sparkie's not getting laid again... xf:D

Anyway, I grew up in NY, listening to 77 WABC, and 66 WNBC (that's AM for the younger folks).

It was fun, but didn't want to make me be a DJ. I became a DJ because I was tired of arguing with the guys in the bands, and splitting the profits too much.

Cousin Brucie was cool though -- you could always tell when he had to go to the boys room, because he'd do a double play... ;) xf:D

The pretty blonde in the picture is Charly McCain from 93.1 The Wolf. She does the 7pm - 11pm shift on the station. Like I told her after that pic was taken, she makes anyone she stands beside, look better.

eh, not so much....... ;)

Tell us a bit about yerself Cesar...

Not just DJ'ing, but about you, the person.

What good would it do SoftJock Rick as you can see the Sherrif from Rambo already has me in his sights with his nice welcome to me.

I have to ask how can you derail a thread if there was no specific question asked or implied?

Are we supposed to be mind readers?

I'd go with a baited post on that one Cesar -- yer trying to piss off Sparkie. He's actually a nice dude.

But anyway -- how can we know about you, if you are unwilling to share any information...? I live in Naples, FL, and my friends here are welcome at any time. We don't hide from each other. Everybody knows how old I am, they can see my videos on YouTube if they like. Heck, you can call me at 239-234-5818 (just don't do it at 2am).

I like to annoy folks on occasion, but I try not to make a habit of it -- I suspect you should try that as well... ;)

Sparkie our memories of this crazy biz keeps me fulfilled and allows me to want to continue as such I cant think of anything more interesting in life than having traveled the world doing what I do and of course I began in Radio so I totally relate.

Cesar (is it ok to share your real name?), Rick even forgives me and has the decoder ring to prove it. Some folks might like to become friends with you. Stranger things have happened but you would have to share more about you for that to happen. Heck I met up with alot of folks from here over the years including most recently Steve LeBlanc That Music Guy who is an awesome person to meet in person. I have spoken with many on here including Canute. He isnt going anywhere.

There! I fixed that for you!

JT called me at 4:30pm .. I must not be special.

Or maybe he was out of it and thought it was 2am. Everyone has their off moments. Kidding aside, JT Rocks (as do most of you ODJT'ers)!

Cousin Brucie is on Sirius 70s on 7 these days

In Boston we had WBCN. Charls Laquidara in the morning, and Billy west doing voices and spoof songs. Here's a great one. This all gone now however there's a free form internet stream from some of the old jocks that's damn good. Check out this classic from the best of Boston WBCN:
