Guys, i don't wanna touch on any of the negativity in this post, but i enjoy seeing the equipment regardless of price range. Posts like this don't bother me whatsoever. Keep the product info coming Houston, i don't see anything wrong with it. On a side note , I agree these are overpriced and i would never buy them lol.

This is a case of the pot calling the Kettle black. All I did was post News of new equipment and it ruffles peoples feathers. If those who are only used to the cheapies are offended by the prices then maybe they should stop looking at the links. I never told someone they should buy it. Here I am being attacked. I posted the Chauvet Duo and it was something some had not seen before and again there were attackers on that thread too.
 
I do sometimes wonder why Canute doesn't frequent all the other DJ forums to impart his vast knowledge and wisdom among the lowly ones. Like the forum that has a real rocket scientist and former live musician that has been in this industry a lot longer then he has.

Gentlemen...welcome his postings of New and Innovative equipment. Like Loneavenger, I appreciate the posting of any equipment that may have a bearing on the services that we provide. I for one don't go the the many Vendor shows like Vegas and Atlantic City, so seeing the latest is fine by me. It is my choice whether I decide to fork over the $$$ for said items. True, most of us on the Forum don't have or care to spend thousands of dollars for gear, but you never know when that one piece of equipment, though expensive, may serve one's needs and distant yourself from the rest of the pack. In the end, it comes down to one's pocketbook...and event probability.

Keep posting and commenting, Canute. "One shoe does not fit every soul."

Dan, with all due respect, condescending basically means looking down on someone. Cann you please tell me where I was looking down on someone in this post, be specific please. Some interpret things differently. As usual, I post a simple thread just as I have done along with others for new Gear introduced to the market and I start getting attacked. Analyze this thread and then show me one of my posts that was condescending. It is usually the same folks picking the fight and when I respond I get the blame.
If I post new gear and someone does not like it thats fine. They can keep their thoughts to themselves. If others do not like my posts then why are they not putting me on Ignore? They like to stir the pot is what it is.
 
Canute, you're correct. I've been dogging you for quite sometime now. You obviously don't get what others have been trying to tell you, so I'm not wasting my time with it anymore. It's also obvious others here have some of the same issues with you but choose to ignore you. Keep it up and you won't have anyone but Mix to talk to.

Well this time I think what Canute posted was OK. I don't think he was right to say that Ricky should charge more so he could afford such a light. What Ricky posted in another thread about his prices I think is a fair price for the services he provides.

Now Ricky you didn't need to attack Canute in the beginning saying that what he posted cost way too much for most on here to afford to buy. Maybe someone on here might be interested in that item, find a place that has a good price for that item and buy it. Not me as it's not within my budget at this time. Later on down the road it just might be. You never know. At any rate some DJ's on here couldn't afford even a $200.00 light fixture. It's a matter of what you can afford and what your needs are. Did you know some DJ's don't have lights at all and do just fine.

Instead of calling Mix names (Which is supposed to be against the TOS. It does not give one the right to do it period.) if what he is doing or who he is abhors you all, why do you all keep him here. If one can prove that he is indeed a Thief or a Fraud then he really does not belong here, right? If that is not the case, then he needs to be shown some respect. We should not have double standards.

He has admitted that he has pirate music & plans to commit Social Security fraud.

Show him respect? Respect is something that is earned.

He will most likely never have my respect.

As you all say, do things your way and let him do things his way! Isn't that how it is supposed to go? Why worry about Mix? Why play Judge and Jury? Regardless of what he has done or said he has done, that is no reason to break the TOS rules and call him names. Two wrongs don't make a right. I think it is inflammatory!

Canute thanks but let it go. Trust me I've thought about a lot of name calling about some others on here. Names that would get me banned for life on here and probably every other DJ forum on the planet. I'm no longer in grammer school and decided to act like a grown up and not some little kid.

I also learned that you normally only get upset if someone has hit a nerve. Trust me I have very thick skin. If I didn't then I would stoop to some of the DJ's levels on here.
