Use Peavey speakers and poles they are designed to work properly!:tritongue:

All BS aside heat the tophat up slightly drop either regular ice (messy) or dry ice down the tube and it will fall out in about five seconds!

If I remember correctly the tophats on the EVs are steel and the poles should be aluminum, the aluminum is going to cool down much faster than the steel!

Putting barrel sleeves on comp guns the barrel (steel) would be frozen the sleeve (aluminum) would be heated up and they would slip easily into place, removal was a totally different story and would require heat and a press to seperate them!
 
Put a damp towel in the freezer for a couple of hours. When it starts to freeze up, take it out and wrap it around the base of the pole. Don't let it touch the top hat. A strong twist and pull up should loosen it!
The coldness will cause the metal on the pole to contract!
