This is a 2 part question.....

I have two non-rolling totes right now filled with spare cables, extension cords, bulbs etc but I'd like to downsize to one tote, possibly on wheels.
Any suggestions??

What do you carry for backup cables, etc? Sometimes I feel like I have too much...but how do you judge what you need to carry?

JT (Jeremiah) Nichol posted some info on some that he put together from some kind of tote (from Lowe's, I think) and masterfully put some wheels on it.....Let me see if I can find that thread/post.

I took one of these from Lowes http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=44066-78148-93800&lpage=none

and took a 4 wheel furniture dolly,

took it apart and bolted it to the bottom of the tote. The nice thing is, this is stackable.

Thanks Kevin, maybe it was you that I was thinking of..I get you Nichols boys mixed up sometimes. :sqembarrassed:

Ok, I practice something I made up called The Back End Principle, which means maximizing your profits by smart purchases.

Do NOT go to a music or tool stor and overpay for a label. I use a standard 28" x 16"x 12" overnight travel bag with built in wheels and pull out handle. K-mart or Walgreens or even CVS. somewhere between 19 and 25.00. I have a few. The first one I bought is 6 years old and no rips, wheels and zipper good as new. A bigger one ( almost twice the size) can be had for around 30.00 from these stores.

These are my kit bags. Spare mics, cables, small tools, cleaners, whatever. You aren't carrying lead or railroad spikes......
