Randy (and others) - Is there a better date/time? As much as I love Rob and Keith... I think all of us who are coming 14 hours plus would really love to see as many as possible. What can we do to make it more attendable? I'd love to see lots of people there! The more the merrier in fact!

Pick me up on the drive through and bring your trailer and we'll add my XA2 system also? Scheduling could be rough though.

The week of May 26-29th would work better for myself.

Since, Memorial Day is on Monday, that Tuesday would be perfect...then, I would take an extended holiday weekend and take Tuesday & Wednesday off work.

After that, I start summer college classes and would not be able to go thru the week.

well, unless it happens on a Sunday, Ducky and I won't be able to go (actually the Sunday of Memorial Day is bad for us too, got a wedding). No time available to take off work.

Due to a recent co-worker going on long term disability, I won't be able to obtain coverage for the June 3rd date.

I will check May 26-29th.

Specs don't usually sound good!

I don't understand... I've heard the Dynacord system sound like complete crap, as have I heard the Bose system. Hell, I almost bought a Dynacord Cobra system, but due to the people demoing it, I wasn't convinced it was the right move.. many people who think their sound is stellar, actually couldn't set up a system for their life. I won't drop $18k on a speaker system until I can try it out my way.

And an unequivocal definite is that Just because you sell equipment doesn't mean you know how to use it. Example??

Hell, at the NAME show in Atlanta, I was cringing, because the Bose rep with Cap was distorting the speakers and standing there going "listen to that!" He thought it sounded great... It was horrible! We were all talking amongst ourselves like "is he serious?"

There was much negative talk about the Bose after that incident because of that guy, and his lack of a clue. he made a great speaker sound like crap. (the Bose guy did)

I suspect that this whole experiment will end up in a giant melee, because Flat doesn't sound good, accuracy means nothing if the source sounds like ass, and some people can make anything sound good, while others could have the absolute most expensive gear known to man, and it would still sound horrible..

You absolutely must have an "Open Class" as I would never put the Bose bass bins up against anything... they're worthless... (I own 6 L-1 and 8 subs, I know)

I prefer 2 QSC 18's with the Bose. That's the only way I'll roll now.

I want to come see this all hash out..... should be funny....

I have my personal favorite based on several criteria, and I have no doubt that in the proper hands it will blow everything else away.

Anyone who disagrees will have a Budweiser bottle smashed across their temple in a swift manner..

Steve: Thank you for your report. There is a right and proper setup where only personal and like experience can lead a person. Sorry for that bad experience. It proved the difference between theory and actual.

Having roomed with Steve at a convention, he's telling the truth, people. His IS bigger!

Truer words have never been spoken in a Bose thread and I commend a Bose owner who has the balls to stand up and say it!

Some of us have been saying for years a lot of what a sound system does in not because of the gear but because of the operator!
