As soon as we solidify the date it will be up on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Wedding Wire, MyMichiana.com, Fox28, WSBT, WNDU, and any other site I can think of that will allow me to post an announcement free.... including my own site with RSVP information because we will have to limit the total number to say around 150ish.
 
We can make a video of the shoot out too can't we Ben? Although I don't think the audio in the video would do any of the systems justice at all! AND I would be behind the camera making sure that it is taped correctly :sqwink:

Given all things equal, I'd still like to be able to hear the audio! Get a SPL meter and keep all at the same level.

I plan on being very scientific about it. There is much to lose if we are not absolutely careful about keeping it fair and equitable. I plan on using filtered pink noise and SMAART RTA to take measurements and publish un-edited screenshots. I'm not an employee for either brand and I have preached about truth my entire career in audio... let the chips fall where they do.

This should be an excellent learning experience for all involved, and above all a FUN get together amongst friends.

I am assuming that you will be using the same gear except for the speakers right?

I mean, because of the differences i gear, or ability to hook up said gear, it wouldn't be fair unless everything was exactly the same.

Including the same songs played by the same media.

And why, just curious, would you invite tuxedo people, florist and so on? Even Brides, why would you invite them? Seems to me that this is not a "showcase" deal. You are not showing off what you do as a DJ, you are just doing a "shoot out".

Rob, sorry for the delay in responding I'm open for any day except the 23rd and the 30th. I'd like to be there even as a spectator, not sure I could compete with all you big boys!:sqwink:
