If I sell the B52's for $500 then ill be able to spend that much. I may be able to put 100 on top of what i make on them at the most.
 
If you get the Yamahas look for a Behringer EP4000 (Or EP2500 which is basically the same thing as the 4000) to power them.
 
By the way I also own 2 of the EP2500's and while they may not be QSC RMX series they do hold their ground for what they are.

No, they're Yamaha's entry level speaker.

I'll have to disagree with my friend here, bigtan. That ep2500 is a boat anchor and only 600 watts into 4 ohms. Check out a Peavey IPR3000. It's feather light and pushes 800 into a 4-ohm load not to mention, $380. I've just bought my 2nd one and couldn't be more pleased.

Correction Rick Ryan the Peavey CS800 is a boat anchor but bullet proof. Many of the old timers will attest to that amp and its folklore.

I (with great pain) remember the CS800. Wow, what a great boat anchor. Quick horror story. The Opry used to have a rack of these as their floor monitor amps, over by the monitor mixer's desk. One night the curtain caught in the rack and picked it up. The mix engineer didn't notice it until the curtain let loose, sending the rack down on top of the engineer. Fortunately, he wasn't killed. And as for the EP2500, I'd also have to classify it as a boat anchor if compared against the IPR3000 (although it is a workhose).

OT - Does the IPR fit into a shallow rack (10.5" ) or is it over 15" ? Also whats the longest and most extreme temp youve run these?

Talk about needing roadies to help carry this sucker out. We did some Frat parties back in the day and when it got a little crazy there was no way 1 dude could start packing shiz up and carry all the crap out.

95-100 degrees for 4 hours but it was not in direct sunlight. So far, the IPR hasn't even hinted it was even being worked hard.
